Sylvester Stallone launching menswear lineSylvester Stallone is known for his movies, muscles and, if he has his way, his menswear. The action star is launching his own line of men's clothing called Sly Inc. According to Vogue U.K., the collection, set to debut next year, will be inspired by his films "Rocky" and "Rambo" and include jeans, shirts and outerwear. "I've lived a life where I know what has worked and what hasn't worked," Stallone has said of his own wardrobe. "Clothing is the first step to building a character. I hope that what worked for me will work for others. I really believe I have an understanding of the male psyche on all levels. I want to expose people to things that will work and this is the apropos time. I'm not experienced in this field, but we have the proper team to move this vision along."
Stallone initially became interested in fashion after he lost weight between "Rambo" movies and began buying custom clothing. "I pay a great deal of attention to the way I dress," he said. "When men learn to put things together, they start taking care of themselves better." Stallone's collection will target men ages 25 to 40 and reflect the romance of "Rocky" and the masculinity of "Rambo." Says Sly Inc. president Michael Henry, "The line will offer looks for the rebel and the gentleman." Would you buy clothes designed by Stallone? |
