'Oprah Winfrey Show' to say farewell on May 25Oprah Winfrey has another big announcement to share with the world: the air date of her final show. After 25 years of groundbreaking programming, Winfrey will wrap up her top-rated "The Oprah Winfrey Show" with its last original episode on May 25, reports People. Reruns of the show will continue in syndication and on the OWN network, which launched in January. "I love this show," Winfrey has said. "This show has been my life. And I know when it's time to say good-bye. Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit." Though details about the final episode have yet to be revealed, Winfrey has hinted that viewers are in for a treat as the show draws to a close. "Hard at work planning the final shows," Winfrey tweeted March 24. "Can't wait to share w/ u all!" "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which is currently airing reruns, will resume with new episodes beginning April 7.

His lifes dream would be to go on Gaithers cruise while he is able. Would have to have 2 cabins because they need assistance.. Also WOULD HAVE TO HAVE FLIGHT SERVICE BECAUSE CAN'T TRAVEL FAR. At one time, I thought Oprah had the ability to show us something new, never seen before, and important. That was the first five years of the Oprah Winfrey Show. Since then, it has been all about her or her "friends and acquaintances" in the business. Good for her (really!) that she turned an opportunity into a gold mine, but I won't miss her and have already blocked OWN from my TV service. I miss the Oprah from 20-25 years ago when who you knew and who you were didn't matter , but the stories were real and compelling.

I remember her saying that the 'final season' would be all new shows. Is it me or are the last two or three wks of reruns not part of this season. What a blowhard. Guess its a case of dragging out the season and come September it will be her last show. Boils down to about, what, seven or eight new shows.

Oprah announced last year that THIS would be her final year, but everytime I go to watch the show its been old reruns with the exceptional New Show. She has been gone for awhile in my opinion. I don't think its fair that she promised one more season yet has been gone for most of that last season with rerun shows airing... boooooooooo.
