The same day that Jodie Foster was singing Mel Gibson’s praises at the SXSW premiere of their film “The Beaver,” Gibson was busy being booked.
The actor headed over to the El Segundo Police Department in California on Wednesday as part of the sentence that was handed down last week after he entered a “no contest” plea on a misdemeanor battery charge related to a prior incident with his ex, Oksana Grigorieva.
The actor has been sentenced to three years of unsupervised probation and 52 weeks of anger management counseling. He must also complete 16 hours of community service work and pay a $400 domestic violence fine and $180 in other fees.
The actor was released on $20,000 bail.
