Mel Gibson gets booked

The same day that Jodie Foster was singing Mel Gibson’s praises at the SXSW premiere of their film “The Beaver,” Gibson was busy being booked.

The actor headed over to the El Segundo Police Department in California on Wednesday as part of the sentence that was handed down last week after he entered a “no contest” plea on a misdemeanor battery charge related to a prior incident with his ex, Oksana Grigorieva.

The actor has been sentenced to three years of unsupervised probation and 52 weeks of anger management counseling. He must also complete 16 hours of community service work and pay a $400 domestic violence fine and $180 in other fees.

The actor was released on $20,000 bail.

For the ones that don´t know what is "unsupervised probation" :
It´s a kind of option that lets him on the stream for 3 years and if he gets booked again by any misdreavous thing, he will have to comply with 3 years of jail term and get a new trial for the thing that got him into jail.
So he is on probation during 3 years but without the tax payer paying for someone to be checking him. After the time is over he will get is 20k back if he completes everything.
Even the 52 weeks of counseling can be done by him talking with other people that got the same problems.

while I agree that it's pure B.S. that they consider UNSUPERVISED 'probation' a fitting sentence... sadly this ignorant do uche bag IS an american. he was born and raised in Peekskill NY (a few miles north of the Bronx) until the age of 12 or 13 yrs old. the loser Does unfortunately have dual citizenship.

Hope the 52 weeks of anger management works. He needs to control that anger before he bursts a blood vessel screaming for as loud and as long as he did.

What is going on with the Law System/Judicial System in the US? this guy is NOT AN AMERICAN CITIZEN, he is an australian national, therefore he supposed to be deported long long time ago, for all the crimes and felonies he's commited in US soil. The judges give him a lot of breaks, why? is it because he is whealthy? he can buy the system with his money? tons of inmigrants are being deported just for misdeminors every day, even if they are naturalized or legal residents of the US. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?
