Kathy Griffin responds to Sarah Palin calling her a bully

The back-and-forth between Sarah Palin and Kathy Griffin isn't over yet. The comedian has fired back in response to Palin calling her an "adult bully."

Griffin, who hasn't been shy about lobbing jokes at the Palin clan and will play a Palin-esque character in an upcoming episode of "Glee," "can do anything to me or say anything about me, because you know, she's kind of this — she's a 50-year-old adult bully, really, is what she is," Palin told Fox News earlier this month. "Kind of a has-been comedian, and she can do those things to me."

But Griffin, who's invited Palin to her Broadway show currently playing at the Belasco theater, told ABC News that she doesn't think Palin really knows what bullying means.

"If you think a comedian is a bully, then what that tells me is you've never been bullied," Griffin said. "If that's your idea, like a joke is bullying somebody...that's very different."

Griffin went on, "To throw that word around — when I do my work with the LGBT community, I'm talking about the guy from Rutgers." (Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers University student, committed suicide last fall after two other Rutgers students allegedly videotaped a sexual encounter between him and another man and posted it online.)

"I'm talking about the real stuff," Griffin said. "She's playing a different game."
