The return of Gwyneth on 'Glee'

I can't believe how much I am loving Gwyneth Paltrow on "Glee."

Seriously, I was never a Gwynnie fan back in the day (and I was not alone) and now I am all chips in with her Holly Holiday character on the show. Her attempts to impart some sex education to the "Glee" kids tickled me to no end.

So many witty lines, and such great comedic timing. I absolutely am adding "And everyone's got a random" to my list of favorite quips.

Her very heated performance of "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" apparently got lots of folks in the mood – especially Will. And I loved, loved, loved their tango to Prince's song "Kiss." Is there anything Paltrow can't do?

The only one seeming to not feel the love was Emma. Well, she feels the love alright, but just not for her handsome husband.

Their "session" with Holly where they confessed to not having consummated their relationship is a perfect example of how well Paltrow works her character. In the hands of a lesser actress the lines "Girlfriend, what is up with that? He is hot!" would have grated on my nerves, but Paltrow made me giggle and shout "I know that's right!"

I've missed Emma's sweet brand of crazy and I will never be able to think of "Afternoon Delight" in the same way again.

Even more surprising than the fact that Emma hasn't done the do with the dentist hubby is that Santana is in love with Brittany! All this time I thought she was just digging the "sweet lady kisses" for the thrill, but no. She's really into our favorite airhead Cheerio.

Color me stunned but moved by the very emotional performance of "Landslide" that Holly, Santana and Brit turned in. That ranked right up there with Kurt's dad giving him "the talk" and stressing how much Kurt needs to know his own worth. I don't think there has been a better depiction on television of a parent being so supportive of their gay teen, so kudos to "Glee."

Looks like Paltrow is going to stick around for a bit as Will's new love interest, and I am super excited about the prospect. I'm going to enjoy it until his evil ex-wife shows up again to throw a monkey wrench into his happiness (maybe with an unplanned pregnancy from their hook up when he was sick?).

What say you Gleeks? Are you passionate for Paltrow?

I so LOVED their song and I cried my eyes out. I so know how Santana feels and if I had an awesome teacher like that to go to when I was a teen maybe I wouldn't have waited to come out until after college.

PS I LOVE GWEN!!!!!!! especially as Holly Holiday.....and I couldn't careless what she does as long as she stays herself!

Liked her last season...but not last night. Hardly ANY singing from the kids and the rest of the cast...the whole show was GP...and she can't carry an entire show. That one number she did with Santana and Briittany was embarrasing for her...those two chicks are so friggin HOT and she looked like an old MILF wannabe in comparison (BTW, what was up with her hair...did the show's stylist go on vacation when they filmed this episode??).
And just like the rest of the show this season, they've made her character WAY over the top. Look, I know the show's supposed to be VERY campy, I get it...but it's completely out of control IMHO. It reminds me of when Ally McBeal was once a quirky, great little show and then, at some point, it completely derailed and went totally bonkers. Hate to say it Lisa, but I'm beginning to sniff the "Shark" here. They better get ahold of this runaway horse and reign it in...BIG time!!
And I absolutely have to agree with some of the other responders here, the Gay meter is just absolutely off the charts...it makes the show almost unwatchable now. Although if they show Santana and Brittany actually going at it, I might not erase THAT episode from my DVR!

I used to love glee–but now 2/3 of the show is dedicated to gay/lesbian plot lines. I missed the show about a struggling glee club!

and your point....don't you think it is just as important to show the drama's of life in the gay world (especially for teens) as it is to show them for the straight kids. At least none of them have been knocked up....benefits of being gay....no unexpected pregnancies!!! 10 points for the darkside! WOOT WOOT

I absolutely loved last night's episode! I agree with "Louis in CA", she should be a part of the regular cast. She kept me laughing all throughout the episode. My favorite line had to be: "My lips are sealed...just like your legs." I also loved "the talk" between Burt and Kurt, probably my favorite scene. I'm so happy we got to see more depth to Santana's character and Naya Rivera was brilliant! I'm really anxious to see the original songs performed next week. I've already heard them and they're amazing! To Lisa Respers France: After Will and Teri slept together while he was sick, I too wondered if she would end up pregnant lol 🙂

Absolutely.Bloody. AWFUL! She ruined my love for Glee and I shuddered at her lack of acting, singing and dancing skills every time she attempted to do either one or all three at the same time. Unsuccessfully.

In watching this episode I began wishing that Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't a movie star. Why? So that she could be made a permanent cast member. She handles her lines and character so well. The one that had me laughing was after her session with Holly and her husband and her line, "My lips are sealed... like your legs". OMG! That was beyond funny. But she played it so well with her own chiding, "sorry a doctor wouldn't say that..."

I would love to see Gwyneth play a movie role with a character like this. It would be hilarious.

I have always loved Paltrow. Her performance in "Shakespear in Love" was fabulous as well as her performance in the British production, "Emma." I LOVE British dramas...they are the best. I love them for the beautifully spoken langauge alone. It is fun to see Paltrow's wide range of talent. Go girl!
