Jennifer Hudson talks family and new figureJennifer Hudson flaunts her new, attention-getting figure on the April cover of Essence, but the singer/actress admits she wasn't aware until recently that her sleek physique was such a weighty issue. "I didn't realize that so many people were watching me or that so many people were interested," says the Weight Watchers spokesperson, who has shed approximately 80 pounds. "Now people come up to me saying, 'You've inspired me,' and I'm like, Wow." All eyes may be on Hudson, but her focus remains on her family: fiancé David Otunga and their 19-month-old son David. "I want to be just as dedicated as a wife as I am to my career or to who I am," she tells Essence. "I don't want to do anything and just be halfway in it. If I'm going to be a wife, I'm going to be a wife. I want to be all in."
The same applies to motherhood. Hudson, whose mother, brother, and nephew were murdered in 2008, says she hopes to follow her mom's example in raising her little boy. "My wish is to be at least half as good as my mother was, as patient and as loving as she was, and to just give that to my son," she says.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about her weight loss? People lose weight every day. So what? And besides, she could still stand to lose at least another 50. Shes still fat if you ask me. There was a reason she didnt win AI. And if I have to hear her sing that Weight Watchers song one more time, I think Ill puke! Why docelebrities make such a big deal out of things regular people do everyday? And the only reason she won an award for Dreamgirls is because America was already sick of Beyonce. Duh!
Another 50?!? What's wrong with you? She looks great, my guess is that you're just jealous because you can't lose the weight she has. Very shallow Sally.
Hudson needs voice lessons. Shes not bad but a lil tweeking IS in order.
Oh she looks Hot and Tasty now but give he 18 months and she will be bigger than Oprah.
I know one thing. That girl was gorgeous at the Oscars!
Jennifer......I have been a fan since your Idol days.......was thrilled and moved by your tremendous performance in Dreamgirls.........loved your Grammy winning album and look forward to enjoying your career for years to come. Your strength and perserverance during your family tragedy was an inspiration to me and all of your fans.

Vocal Abilitys...LOL. If one prefers caterwaling and nails down a blackboard then Fatty Hudson is your girl. Just watch...in a little over a year she will be as big as a Double Wide and twice as ugly.
