Gwen Stefani: My weight is a daily struggleUnlike most women in Hollywood, Gwen Stefani doesn't claim that she can eat whatever she wants and somehow still stay slim. In fact, the mother of two admits that keeping her tummy toned is a daily struggle. "I work out five days a week," Stefani tells the April issue of Elle U.K., according to the Daily Mail. "I can’t imagine not doing it." While Stefani admits to being a big fan of pizza—and even treated herself to a slice after presenting her Spring 2011 L.A.M.B. clothing collection at New York Fashion Week last September—she is very careful about her diet.
"I'd like to have no rules and eat what I want, but I've learned over the years that I'm so disappointed when I can't wear the clothes I want to wear," she tells Elle U.K. "And if I let myself down, appear on stage when I'm not looking my best, it's not fun for me. I just beat myself up about it." The singer, who is married to rocker Gavin Rossdale, is equally strict about her beauty routine and confesses she wouldn't dream of leaving the house without her face on. "I wear makeup every single day," she says. "I like to wear makeup for Gavin and I don't feel energized till I've put it on. Then I'm ready to go." |

Hello! gddfdbb interesting gddfdbb site! I'm really like it! Very, very gddfdbb good!
no matter what................whatever you do, most people are simply A__Holes to one another
Miss you, Gwen!!! Make more music!
Gwen is an amazing artist. She's beautiful with or without the make-up, also regardless of the weight. I do think she should take it easy for a little bit though; if she gains a little weight, big whoop, she's still Gwen. (:
Sad about the makeup. IMO she was at her prettiest in the "Underneath It All" video segment where she barely had a speck of it on.
I totally agree with you! I was thinking about that video as I was reading this article, thinking how beautiful and natural she looked in that part of the video.
I agree...she was very pretty even without makeup. She says she likes to wear it for Gavin...even though she's been wearing it way before him. I admit, I do feel good when I look my best, which would require a bit of makeup, but 99% of the time, I don't wear it. And when you don't wear it for a long time and you wear it once, people who see you everyday make such a big deal about it..."WOW!! You look different with makeup!!" No kidding, right.
I bet she looks like a male prizefighter without all her makeup on.
Who cares about her weight?
When is she going to make another album?
It's been forever since I heard a decent No Doubt song. Heck I'd even settle for a solo project!!!!
Do something Gwen!!!!!
If she put 10% of the energy into her music that she puts into her make-up and waistline.
Then all of her albums after the first No Doubt record would not SUCK!!!! Ahead of her time. She started focusing on vanity years before vanity ruined popular music of the last 10 years.
If she put her effort into the music and not into looking good then she wouldn't be nearly as successful as she is. Sorry, but in this country, we buy music from people who we generally find physically attractive. Taking your advice would be career suicide for her. Oh by the way, for the most part, the music is produced and the beats are laid down by people whom you never see, and very little of the music is actually generated by the artists in question. The "artists" are just the face put on the music.
Also, vanity has ruled music for more than 10 years in this country. David Cassidy? Franky and Annette? The 80's?
everyone struggles with these issues-not just stars! we all try our best to look and feel good as we can-this is nothing new-we all want to eat pizza-why is it such a big deal she had a slice of pizza or anything else for that matter-stars are not normal people they have money to have the best of everything-while we are just normal people trying best we can just to put food on table-and enjoy life! kinda sad when news is a star has struggles with wieght nad had pizza when so much going on in world! love gwen and her music but this is sooo annoying to glamorize stars, their looks, what they eat who cares!!!! give us some news that is worthy!!!!
She's cabbage.
Yawn. That was lame. She's been telling this same story for the past decade "I work out everyday". Of course you do, Gwen, it's your job as a celebrity to do that. Good for you, but bad for us that once upon a time you looked like you might actually do something for rock 'n roll and all you turned out to be was an ambitious wolf in lamb's clothing. And you wear that fakery well......
Rekha Kaula is the smartest person here. His post is the most accurate and insightful. Well done sir/mam
Oh , the Scorn & Resentment . . . & with Issues come Tissues . . .
WHO CARES!!!!! LIFE IS SOOOOOOOO TOUGH FOR YOU GWEN!!
yes ladies, please keep lying to the masses by wearing make up. men will continue to love you for it. you are not good enough the way you are so PAINT YOUR FACE.
I have never understood this point of view. Before I say this, I know there are exceptions to the rule, but most women don't wear make-up to cover up insecurities..they like how their eyes look with eyeliner, or their lips with lipstick, so they use them. It's no different than wearing cologne or perfume instead of just smelling like your natural self, or wearing nice clothes. It's a different form of 'dressing up'. I never used to wear make-up in the past (I do now, by the way, because I've gained an interest in it) but I never thought women who did were shallow for it. I feel that it's really good to care about your toilette.. how you look, how you smell..
I have to agree with MTrop. I am not sure what makes people think that just because a woman wears makeup, she's insecure. I love playing with makeup. I think I look nice without it, but I also look nice with it. It's fun to dress up your face and accentuate your positive features. There are plenty of women who go overboard, but in general I think there is nothing wrong with a woman who wears makeup. I wouldn't tell a man not to wear a fancy watch, trim his beard, or wear cologne. It's all the same.
Is that makeup? I thought it was the real thing. Well, back to my cage.
Gwen is dope. I could live inside her.
I like just a couple of her songs...but I really don't think she's all that attractive...its her heavy makeup that makes her recognizable...
You know what they say; a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the Hollaback Girl.
(You look fab, Gwen, no matter what you do. guuurrrrl.)
I am sure that her husband thinks she is beautiful just the way she is.
Have never found her attractive. Wears way too much make-up, that's just really unattractive, IMO. One of those girls that looks like a completely different person with her mask off....
Scat, mad hater, we're tired of poo....
If she didn't go out with her "face" on you know people would pick her apart. She looks amazing not just for her age but in general. She isn't going around insulting other women; she is stating this is how she feels and how she likes to present herself. I wish I looked half as good as she does and I am half her age!
I feel the same way she does, I need to look my best too. It's great to hear her admit this, and she has through the years. It takes a lot of work for most of us to look half as good as her. Rock your red lips, Gwen! I know I will.
Gwen you're such a who-were I love it
she's still hot though
FIRST!!!
Sorry, you don't get an award for commenting first...
She does all that and it still doesn't bother her that she looks almost exactly like his ex gay lover?
