If you've been looking for Lionel Richie ever since the release of his 1984 hit "Hello," you're not alone.
New Yorkers have been stuck on the star lately thanks to a series of personal-ad-style signs that are popping up all over Brooklyn.
The signs feature a retro black-and-white photo of Richie along with the header "Hello?" and the caption "Is it me you're looking for?" At the bottom of the page are several tear-off strips, but instead of contact telephone numbers, each strip includes a lyric to "Hello."
One hipster tipster spotted Richie hanging in an apartment building lobby while others have spied him on the streets.
The video for "Hello" featured Richie falling for a blind girl, and the single spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
No word on how long the "Hello" poster campaign will continue, but chances are, more than a few Brooklynites have been up "All Night Long" searching for the signs.
