David Beckham unveils Jesus tattooSoccer star David Beckham has a heavenly new tattoo: an image of Jesus on his chest. Beckham unveiled his three-month-old ink — courtesy of L.A. tattoo artist Mark Mahoney — on his Facebook page Saturday, with a video message explaining the meaning behind his body art. "It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are boys," he says, referring to sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. "My thought of it is, at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture.” But Beckham might want to make room for one more cherub: Wife Victoria Beckham is expecting their fourth child this summer. Beckham has at least 19 other tattoos, each of them personal. "Most of my tattoos are memories," he says. "There's not one tattoo that I've got on me that doesn't mean something."

Wow! It is always amazing how much anger, hatred, and anxiety, the name of Jesus or, in this case, an image of Him causes among people. It says something, that He is real, He is alive today, and that the same hatred which crucified Him 2,000 years ago is still with us today.
I'm not sure why David should desire to have this tattoo on his body, but that is his choice. God has given us all a free will, it is our decision what we do with it.

I would just like to comment that very few historians actually dispute that Jesus Christ lived – they would just dispute his resurrection, miracles, etc... Also there are a number of secular, contemporary (to the Bible that is) references to Jesus Christ. Especially notable is the Jewish Antiques by Flavius Josephus who was a Jewish historian. An intelligent person would not argue that Jesus of Nazareth doesn't exist; he would argue that he wasn't the Christ, the Son of God.

You know that with Becks its all about himself and his style. Since 2003 when he left Manchester United his skills have gone downhill due to age , injury, and declining skill. Now compare that to his former teammate and current United player Ryan Giggs. He is going on 21 years with the team. Unselfish , humble, and never wanting the limelight, Giggs represents the unselfish player. When Giggs first started in 1991, he could have gone down the road of glory and limelight like Beckham did,but around 1994 he stopped the partying and focused on soccer. Guess where Giggs is still at today? At United and now he just signed a 1 year contract. Remember this people Beckham may have the limelight,but Ryan Giggs has and still is a very good player at 37 where his skill rarely has declined. So people when you read a story about David Beckham think of Ryan Giggs who is the exact opposite. Humble, kind, low key like his STILL 17 year teammate Paul Scholes who play for the team and not themselves like Beckham. That is on of themain reasons why manager Sir Alex Ferguson let him go. He was bigger than the team.
