Roseanne Barr lands nutty new reality series

She's always been brutally honest, and now Roseanne Barr is about to get even more real: The comedian has landed a new Lifetime reality series about her life on a macadamia nut farm in Hawaii, reports Entertainment Weekly.

"I’m coming back down to earth, and keeping it real,” Barr says. “They’ve said ‘Roseanne’s nuts’ for years, and now I’m going to make that a reality — I’m all about nuts now, macadamia nuts!”

The former "Roseanne" star runs a 40-acre nut farm on Hawaii’s Big Island with her son Jake and her writer-musician boyfriend Johnny Argent.

According to a press release for the series, Barr "uses a take-no-prisoners approach in shaping a Utopian dream for herself and her loved ones.”

"Roseanne is funny and brutally honest," says Lifetime president and GM Nancy Dubuc, "and our audience will relate to her decision to go on this adventure and create an entirely new life for herself."

Will you watch Barr's new Lifetime show?

To all the Roseanne haters She is laughing all the way to the bank. I think she can be a little hard to take sometimes but her show in the beginning when Becky, Darlene and DJ were little was was honest.
Trying to feed your family and putting a roof over their heads and keep the utilities on hits home to alot of Americans.
All these years later and in this bad economy, it is still something families deal with everyday.

No, these " celebrity reality shows" are really just poorly scripted sitcoms, so no thanks.

Hmm... I wonder if it is men making those comments about weight??? Oh how the haters never stop and are offended by the image of a strong outspoken woman breaking the constructs of antiquated ideals of femininity, thus ripping the balls off the true chauvenistic pigs of redneck America. By calling her fat you are only proving her point exactly and the entire symbol of reverse irony she has managed to accomplish through her entire career. She will die laughing at the real pigs that spit their ignorant venom and "fat" comments.

  7. Please say it's not so...

I was so happy when this creature got off of TV, I can't believe they are bringing her back!! Is there no new talent out there that they have to go back to a re-tread??? They could put Rosanne Barr and Rosie O'Donnell on a slow boat to China and nobody would miss them. If being rude, obnoxious, and totally boring is a talent, I have a few family members that qualify for a "reality tv show".

I never watched the sitcom, and "reality television" is an oxymoron, but I like Roseanne, just wish she would do more stand-up comedy. That's what she's best at.

Okay, you really hate her, and you clicked on this link just so you could leave your snide, mean-spirited comment, but if "fat pig" really the best you could come up with, why bother?

Rosanne admitted on the Oprah show she had lied about being abused by her father. Well....almost. She didn't have the guts to say she lied but said she now knows she was "confused". Really? She deserves to go thru the same torment, ridicule and scorn her father surely had to endure until he died. She always did make me vomit and now I really hate her for what she must have put her parents and siblings thru to sell a book.
