Getting to know Esperanza Spalding

The critical affection for this year's recipient of the best new artist Grammy has been steadily growing for a few years now, but you wouldn't have known judging by the amount of people searching for info about Esperanza Spalding last night.

The reaction of "who?" was nearly instantaneous across the Web on Sunday as Spalding snagged the Grammy away from Justin Bieber and Drake, two artists that you couldn't be unaware of if you tried. Florence + the Machine and Mumford and Sons were also up for the award.

Yet while you may not know her name, odds are you've seen her perform before.

Milli Vanilli movie on the way

Girl, you know it's true! The scandalous story of lip-synching '80s pop duo Milli Vanilli is being turned into a movie.

Deadline.com reports that the film will tell the story of model/dancer pals Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan, who were spotted by German record producer Frank Farian at a club and hired to be the "faces" of a music group he had assembled.

The duo had a string of hits, including "Blame It on the Rain" and "Baby Don't Forget My Number," and despite rumors that they weren't the actual singers of the songs, they went on to win a Grammy.

'Real Housewives of ATL' reunion a snooze

With so much sass this season, I was really expecting more from part one of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion.

Folks were decidedly low-key on Sunday night’s show, which was filled with more subtle jabs than I've become used to from our Georgia peaches.

Cynthia threw a little shade when Andy asked her about the negative comments made regarding her fashion runway walk – the harshest of which came from Phaedra, who said Cynthia looked like a “pretzel dipped in cottage cheese.”

Channing Tatum on burning his you-know-what

Is hotshot actor Channing Tatum missing a chromosome? That's the rumor circulating on a movie message board.

"I read on IMDb one time that I’m missing a chromosome or something. Which, I don’t know, could be true," he tells Vulture. "That’s all I read before I was like, 'Oh my God, I gotta stop' and pulled the ripcord. It’s all dangerous reading those message boards. I went on there to try to remember the name of a costume designer that I worked with and I scrolled down for a second and was just like no, no, no, no, no, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad."

Tatum also reveals that he's healed quite nicely since suffering severe burns in a very private place while shooting his new movie "The Eagle."

Eliminated 'Bachelor' contestant: Brad got it wrong

Jackie Gordon was surprised when Brad Womack gave her the boot on Monday's episode of "The Bachelor."  In fact, she thought at least two of the remaining women deserved to go ahead of her.

"Britt (Billmaier) hasn't had much alone time with Brad, so I'm surprised he's kept her this long," Jackie said during a conference call with reporters. "Michelle (Money) is another story altogether."

Michelle has been the contestant fans love to hate this "Bachelor" season, courtesy of her frequent digs at her competition, as well as her ultra-strong motivation to win Brad's heart.

Lady Gaga: I smoke a lot of pot when I write music

Well, this might explain her arrival in an egg at the Grammy awards.

In an interview with "60 Minutes," Lady Gaga admitted that she turns to whiskey and weed when she needs to get inspired.

"I smoke a lot of pot when I write music. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it for '60 Minutes,'" the singer said in a profile that aired Sunday. "I drink a lot of whiskey and I smoke weed when I write. I don't do it a lot because it's not good for my voice."
