Willow Smith wants Brad Pitt as 'Annie's' Daddy Warbucks

Talk about typecasting! Willow Smith says there's only one guy she wants to play her adoptive father, Daddy Warbucks, in the upcoming "Annie" remake.

“Brad Pitt!” she told "Access Hollywood" of the actor, whose brood of six kids includes three adopted children.

Smith, whose father, Will Smith, is producing the "Annie" reboot with Jay-Z, played coy when pressed for additional details about the film, however.

“We’re just going to have to wait for that!" she said. "You’re just going to have to wait."

According to Deadline.com, however, audiences might be in for some seriously cool production numbers: "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy is reportedly being eyed to direct the movie.

Hmm... how about Coach Sue as mean Miss Hannigan?

No offense, and this has nothing to do with color, but why do a remake of something great??? I just don't think the girl has the talent, and Will smith is doing anything to get his children into acting, which they do a horrible job of doing so.

LOL, she has Will smith's ears!!!

really? a remake of Annie? This was a depression era film with very white characters. I'm not saying it can't be remade but just to overcome ALL of the WHITE sterotypes in the film? It will be a miracle it doesn't come off contrived and dare I say it........a waste? And before you kiddies start bashing me.....you probably never saw the original so leave me alone. I love Will Smith.....I just wish he would let his kids land jobs instead of creating them. Willow already seems like she is a little stuck on herself, no modesty there.

Ebonics, nappy headed, supposedly black sounding names, comments about Obama. All those things lambasted about when there is a discussion about black people. Why? I don't like the idea of Annie being made either but to bring race into the mix is unnecessary. 2011 and we still have a long way to go.

I was wondering why she was chosen, when so many more talented options are out there, until I saw who was producing the film.

We all know this is a terrible idea. The film will be terrible. Who ever made the decision to make this film at sony, be prepared to be fired sometime in the future.

    First off: Lol @ Anniesha
Second: @Give me a break, I don't know why you would even start thinking they won't update the music. With Jay Z at the helm? Who already remixed an Annie song? I would expect at least HALF the songs in the new annie to be horrible rap songs.

Yes: I know a black girl named Annie. I am looking forward to this movie and am anxious to hear what Jay-Z does with the music.
Don't know about Pitt in the Warbucks role though. I was thinking Bruce Willis or James Avery.

Would'nt it make more sense if the renamed the movie, Ta'Annie or Anniesha or JermAnnieium or Mercedannie or some other stupid scrabble name that black people make up for their kids? Does anyone actually know a black girl named annie?

Ok so I have always been a fan of Annie, I love the musical, as well as the movie. I dont'n think I would mind Willow's Annie, I just have this horrable fear that they are going to "update" the music, and that would be heartbreaking.

The existance of this movie is so upsetting I can't even explain it. Also, I'm sorry, I don't care if she's a kid, I don't care if it's cruel, but I now hate Willow Smith. Call me mean if you want. I hate this kid.

Really, so the name Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Jamie Curtis, Liv Tyler, Liza Minelli, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, Michael Douglas, Angelica Houston, that's just naming a few. Who among the people listed can say their parents name didn't have an influence?

I believe all the comments on this post have nothing to do with talent, it's plain, simple, racist.

You're okay with the Disney machine putting out puppets to influence children, but well rounded and adjusted children you have a problem with.

Your comments speak of nothing but jealous, racist hatred.

I'm not a big fan of everything the Smith's do but I am happy to see they (Will & Jada) are involved in their children's lives and have a positive influence on them. And I'm happy to see people support their positive endeavors. All the haters of this family would find something negative to say whether the family was doing good or bad so screw 'em.
