Welcome to the week of the BieberIt’s a miracle Twitter is still up and running, what with so many reasons to tweet about Justin Bieber this week. A new movie, a handful of talk show appearances, a duet in the works, another magazine cover and, to top it off, a new haircut - Bieber is everywhere! The Bieb’s documentary, “Never Say Never,” which premiered in L.A. on Tuesday night, hits theaters on Friday, with 300 special showings on Wednesday night. The flick, featuring performance footage from his 2010 concert tour, prompted the pop star to hit the talk show circuit hard. Appearing on “The Late Show With David Letterman” and “The Daily Show” last week, Bieber continues making the rounds.
He dropped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday to belt out his own version of Lady Gaga’s soon-to-be-released “Born This Way” with DeGeneres and musician James Blunt. He’ll make his way to “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday, where he and Kimmel will perform a special tune inspired by user-submitted song titles. Kimmel recently asked viewers to submit potential song titles via Twitter, using the hashtag #KimmelBieberDuet. Posing alongside Usher Raymond and music executive L.A. Reid, Biebs debuted his new ‘do on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter. Bold move getting a haircut right before your very first movie premiere, Bieber. Justin Bieber is a good boy, trying to make a positive impact on young people while doing what he loves. If no good can possibly come from your words and what you say, then keep it to yourself!
Shelly, I certainly hope you didn't take my comment as an attack on Beiber. I have an honest concern for his future health and welfare. This 16 year old is now making millions of dollars for himself. I have always wondered how parents of super star children control them. The line "While you live under my roof" loses something when it is the child's income paying for the roof.

I don't currently appreciate his music, but I won't begrudge his success. He seems like a nice kid and he has talent so I say more power to him for the success he has had. I just hope his mom can keep him grounded enough so when he's older and has more freedom he doesn't screw up his life thinking he can do w/e he wants without consequence.

personally I'm a fan of the biebs and after seeing a special screening of the movie last night I have even more respect for him.. he's very talented and uses his resources well. he's done a lot for other people no matter what the cost. seeing the movie really opens your eyes at how hard he actually worked to get to where he is today. it brought laughter and tears as well as understanding.. for anyone who wants to know where this kid came from, the movie is strongly recommended.
Go to YouTube and watch some of his early videos. The dude's twice as talented as most of the clowns out now.

Not that I have anything against Bieber, but does anyone else think he may have gotten to famous to fast? A life story of a 16 year old kid (and it runs longer the 45 min)? Let's hope he doesn't follow in the footsteps of other kids who became famous way to fast (anyone remember a man named River Pheonix??). Personnally I will be surprised if he lives past 30.

I have a friend whose 10 year old son is a natural entertainer and he absolutely idolizes Justin while this boy's 13 year old brother winces and cringes at just the mention of Biebs. The ten year old is hated on at school for it while my own son, who is almost seven and loves anything Bieber, is still free to express his enjoyment of the music without fear of retribution. Amazing how one teenage singer can be so polarizing.
And we wonder why all the bulling goes on in school. I would say they are plain jealous.
He's an "E True Hollywood" cautionary tale in the making. Personally, I'm looking forward to his downward spiral of drugs and misery. Its gonna be a good one!

I really don't understand the hatred. He seems like a genuinely hard working, nice kid. If you don't like him don't listen to his music but don't predict his downfall and wish for his undoing. If he does suffer in the future it will be all of our faults for the pressure society puts on celebrities. I find him to be truely talented and an inspiration to kids to not give up on their dreams. Who are any of you to find fault in that.

I agree...I am a middle aged mother of grown kids but if my kids were Bieber's age, I would much rather them be a fan of his than any other "role model" out there today. He seems to really appreciate his success.

The outrage is from those of us who are not sheep & find it sickening that it is this type of crap no tallent music is being pushed on the world. We're told how poular and cool it is but it is drivel. Music today has no soul. People sit around in a board room and try to come up with the next big thing. The record companies hire a butt-load of ghost writers and behind the scenes musicians to create these people. Music to me should come from a person's heart. Musicians should be that – musicians – they should write their own music & perform it. If they can't do that, they shouldn't be doing it at all. There is so much amazing music out there but people actually have to search for it. The mainstream outlets saturate the market with too much of the same crap, with no variety. Music should be about art – not consumption and the fact that this isn't the case these days outrages me.
@Jeremy ...Did you ever think that maybe he considers himself a performer or entertainer as well. To be musically inclined does not mean you have to be a musician. The kid has talent. He has a good voice. Think of so many classic "musicians" who did not play instruments on stage or write their own music. Yet we still love them today. I am personally not a fan of his music but I give the kid credit for following his dreams and working hard to make them happen. Im sure he didnt wake up one day and say "Hey I wanna be a megastar" Perhaps if you watch this new movie with where he came from it will give you some insight to how hard he did work to get where he is and how hard he currently works to supply miilions of kids with entertainment they enjoy. It only takes one fan wanting to listen to you a reason to keep playing.
