John Travolta to play John GottiJohn Travolta is going gangsta. The actor is reportedly set to star in an upcoming biopic of former crime boss John Gotti. TMZ reports that Travolta and comedian Marty Ingels had a top-secret meeting at Brentwood, California, restaurant Amici on January 24 and talked Mafia over their meal. "Travolta's going to play the life of John Gotti," Ingles told the TMZ crew as he exited the eatery. "That's why we were meeting," For his part, Travolta isn't being a stool pigeon and won't confirm or deny the report. Asked if he'd be portraying the Dapper Don, who died in 2002 while serving a life sentence in prison, the 56-year-old star responded, "I don't know about that." According to TMZ, Oscar nominee/host James Franco is also expected to join the crime family as John Gotti Jr.

The sad thing about JT is that only 1 in 5 of his movies is worth a crap. Him and Nicolas Cage are the two worst successful actors of ALL TIME! Their movies are so bad, they're fun to watch. And no, I don't pay to watch them. I wait until my friends rent/buy them and then I watch them. Some movies are so bad you just have to watch them–like the 'Iron Eagle' movies. Same thing with actors. And when 'FaceOff' came out I couldn't wait for it to go to DVD. The two WORST actors of all time–IN THE SAME MOVIE!! And I wasn't disappointed. It was so riduculously stupid! JT is not a good choice for JG. JT is too over the top. They should have gotten somebody like Ray Liotta. He's one of your classic mob actors.

Travolta is one of the luckiest actors ever. His early success was due to his good looks, and this finally faded and his career hit the crapper. He lucked-out big time when he was cast in Pulp Fiction, and for the life of me, I cannot understand why he got so much praise for that. Samuel L. Jackson was the true star of that film and single-handedly made it great. pulp Fiction put Travelota back on the A-list and he banked a fortune making movies since, which for the most part, have been getting worse and worse.
