Tiffany apologizes for outing Jonathan KnightEighties singing sensation Tiffany is apologizing to former flame Jonathan Knight after seemingly outing him during a recent TV appearance. While promoting her upcoming SyFy movie "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid" on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" last Friday, Tiffany, 39, admitted that she and Knight dated back in their heyday. "He's fabulous. But he became gay later," she said before jokingly adding that she wasn't sure if she had a hand in "switching" his sexuality.
“I had issues with that! I was thinking maybe I did," she said. "But no, now looking back when we were dating, he was so much fun — we used to do facials together, he was so easy to talk to.” Though Tiffany seemed casual about her whole "Watch What Happens Live" conversation, she changed her tune the next day when Knight, who has never publicly acknowledged his sexuality, tweeted about the incident. "I'm so devastated," he wrote. "How can I not remember getting facials???????" Realizing that she revealed too much, Tiffany apologized. "Really didn't know that was the wrong thing to say," she tweeted. "Never meant to hurt Jon." Shortly afterward, Knight, 42, put his former flame at ease, letting her know he was hanging tough. "Tiff, please don't lose any sleep over it!" he responded. "I know you weren't being mean and I found it to be funny!"

I think she did it on purpose. these two need to move on, they still talk about each other like they are inlove. He became gay after her? how is that? I think they still have a thing for each other after all these years and he is gay. Maybe he wouldnt be gay if she were his woman.

I never realized he was in the closet. I do remember taking my 10 year old daughter and two of her friends to see NKOTB in the late 80s for her birthday. I was surprised none of the glass in the Omni Arena shattered from the nonstop shrieking of 30,000 girls under the age of 18. I was actually worried about everyone's hearing. It is amazing that young girls can shriek so loudly for 90 minutes without taking a breath. Jonathan is a much more handsome man than he was an adolescent member of a boy band.
It's not like we didn't already know. Only CLOTHES belong in the closet. Cowards are the reason kids are afraid to be who they are anyway? How many more stupid X-men/Super Hero movies do we have to watch before people understand that being DIFFERENT is a part of our experience and that we should never be ASHAMED of being different.
No matter how much I liked a girl, I knew so many of them gossiped among themselves. This is based on my sister and her friends. Plus, a number of my gay friends had been outed by girls they had trusted. I still like and respect girls, but I have always told my male friends, and it has always been great. Some GREAT surprises. And, I still have all of my straight male friends who know.

They were a group of boys mostly too young to drive in the late 80s who had a string of hits and were beloved by many tween and teen girls. The songs were largely forgettable. The were one of the earliest, highly successful boy bands along with Menudo out of Puerto Rico. Girls below the age of consent loved them heart and soul while 99% of boys and men hated them almost to the point of violence.
I wonder if she caught the aids from him?
Any gay celebs that are in the closet should be outed. It is a denial of their own being and they have the power to help other people without celeb power who are struggling with the stigma. Once people realize that half the celebs they admire are gay, then maybe people will start realizing that it is not rare and not shameful.
And it is especially silly to be in the closet when it is well-known/suspected that you're gay anyway.
It is also not up to other people to keep track of whether you're out or not, especially 25 years later!

That comment Jon made was funny. He's got a good sense of humor about it all, and it was nice to know that TIffany was concerned about his well-being either way. If Jon Knight is gay, he's gay. No big deal. Just glad to see that they're still friends.

I grew up loving NKOTB! Back then I knew Jonathan was gay. He just seemed very feminine in interviews. He shouldn't feel ashamed of who he is. Tiffany shouldn't have "outed" him, but seriously just look at him and you can tell he's gay. Nothing wrong with being gay, what’s wrong is when you’re embarrassed by it. Tiffany didn't out Jonathan. Its not a huge secret that he's gay, its just not been thrown out there for every one to see. He's not in the closet, he's just not flamboyant about his lifestyle. As for the other guys, they're all married (or have been) with kids.

If you saw the show, she was just talking and laughing and recounting several stories form the 80s. She didn't appear to be trying to make a big deal of any of them or trying to get attention from them. She's not a very good actress, so I doubt there's any deception here.

nan- she's from the late 80s. she was sorta debbie gibson's "rival." she redid the beatles – i think we're alone now. i always liked her just cause we shared the same name and i was like 10 at the time so to a 10 year old that was pretty cool.

Tiffany was too young to perform at clubs, so her producer and songwriters chose malls as performance halls – Tiffany's fans were too young for the clubs too but were definitely at the malls. Pretty clever approach.
