Kelly Clarkson begs Gwyneth Paltrow to make an albumGwyneth Paltrow just might have her biggest fan in Kelly Clarkson. The "American Idol" champ is so impressed with the "Country Strong" star's vocals that she's urging her to head into the recording studio. "Gwyneth Paltrow please make an album," Clarkson, 28, tweeted yesterday. "You have such an honest and captivating voice!"

'The Game' scores high again in ratings"The Game" continued to play well in the ratings. After debuting with 7.7 million viewers, the BET-revived series scored 5.9 million viewers for its second episode, according to the network. The numbers placed the episode in the No. 2 spot for the highest rated BET series telecast of all time, behind "The Game's" debut.

Nightmare scenarios on 'Modern Family'It's no secret that the writers of "Modern Family" draw on real experiences for ideas, but one gets a sneaking suspicion that this week's episode had a lot of basis in reality. Here we saw three of the most embarrassing situations that can happen to anyone. First there was the "accidentally-sent-e-mail" scenario: Gloria told Jay how she really felt about Claire, and Jay, in a hurry to make it on a trip to Vegas, wrote exactly that and it got sent. Gloria's helpless reaction was priceless: "Make it come back!" Then we had the damaging-someone-else's-home scenario: Mitchell and Cam lived through this while visiting the owner of a restaurant they wanted a reservation to, along with Lily. After all, the only openings were before 6 ("What are we, 80?" asked Cam) and just before 11 ("What are we, 20?").

Jesse James, Kat Von D are engaged!After recently blowing up the Twitterverse with public declarations of their love, Jesse James and Kat Von D are taking their relationship to the next level. James and Von D, who began dating last summer after the very public dissolution of James’s marriage to Sandra Bullock, are engaged, according to People. The pair went public with their relationship less than three months after James and Bullock’s divorce was finalized in June.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner returns to NBC on 'Community'For two seasons, we've been given little hints about Shirley's situation with her ex-husband Andre, but on Thursday night's episode of "Community," we finally get to meet him, and he's played by none other than "Cosby Show" alum Malcolm-Jamal Warner. "Personally, it’s great to have a career that stands long enough to be able to - you know, 25 years later - come back to a show in the same great timeslot [Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET]," Warner told reporters last week. "But to add to that, I’m glad I’m coming back to a very funny show." One reason that Warner got the role in the first place was on the recommendation of Shirley herself, Yvette Nicole Brown. |
