Kim Kardashian on singing: Kanye convinced me

Reality star/entrepreneur Kim Kardashian credits Kanye West with helping her add another title to her resume: singer. The "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" beauty says it was West who convinced her that she possessed the pipes to make a hit record.

"[I thought] 'OK, I'm not a singer, this isn't what I do. I have too much other stuff going on. Is this really something safe for me to do?'" she recalls to MTV News. "And Kanye was actually one of the people who really talked me into doing it and telling me, like, 'Hey, look, what do you guys do for fun? You guys go shopping, you go to the movies. Kind of step into our world for a second and have fun.'"

The result was "Turn It Up," a one-off record that Kardashian, 30, made with Grammy-winning producer The-Dream.

"Dream's mother passed away of cancer and so did my dad, so half of the proceeds are going to a cancer organization," she says. "It's just one song, and it's just for fun."

    I actually admired her for not singing, and just sticking to what she was good at: modeling. Don't do it Kim, Kanye and the Dream just want to sleep with you (at the same time).
