'Jersey Shore': Which way to the beach?Last night’s episode of “Jersey Shore” can be summed up in two words. However, due to the inappropriate nature of one of those words, I’m going to have to explain the madness that was last night’s episode in a more… descriptive manner. Snooki’s drinking has been out of control since we met her back in 2009 – throwing herself at boys, specifically Vinny, and showing her "cooka" (if you will) is nothing new. But when she took multiple bites out of a raw potato last night, things got real. Or maybe she just misread the recipe for homemade potato vodka.
After being shut down by The Situation more times than Sammi and Ronnie broke up in Miami, Deena heads into the trenches once again, but this time with a wing(wo)man. Snooki, the good friend she is, suggests her, Sitch and Deena have a threesome. Unfortunately for Sitch, that threesome turns into a “D-some” after Snooki bails. He eventually kisses Deena, but only to shut her up. He’s then forced to employ his signature move: “The kitchen ditch.” For those of you who don’t speak “Shore,” that’s when you leave the room, head to the kitchen and start eating in order to avoid someone. How does he keep his abs with all this running to the kitchen to avoid stage five clingers? The next day, Sam makes amends with Snooki at work. She later apologizes to Deena, too. Don’t hold your breath JWoww. Speaking of JWoww… was anyone else cringing in horror when she popped a squat behind the bar? Though, I suppose she redeemed herself when she rinsed the floor with the soda gun. Pauly D has a brief encounter with his season one stalker, Danielle, at the bar - she throws a drink on him and bolts. Not exactly the way to a man’s heart, Danielle. She would have been better off making him another T-shirt. Or not. Then, the funniest part of last night’s episode: Ronnie’s two laughs, as told by Vinny. 1. His soft little girl laugh. Spot on, Vin! And finally, the moment we’ve been waiting for… After eating a basket of fried pickles and doing body shots with an old couple on the boardwalk, Snooki gets arrested for annoying people. Did anyone else notice the guy in the green shirt following behind JWoww and Deena as they chased their intoxicated friend along the beach? What did you think of last night’s episode?

The show is a disgrace. MTV gives JERSEY a bad rep with these clowns. We are nothing like what they show. We don't have shore language we don't get drunk and act like little bafoons that they are. That is why are governor was outraged because peopl see this show and are given the wrong idea bout the jersey shore. At the risk of someone just calling me an idiot, the whole reason I watch the show is to remind myself why I'm in college and why I should stay there. I consider my weekly dose of Jersey Shore to be my weekly dose of sanity to fend against the piles of homework I have.

Have we all really missed the point? These people are actors and this is all fake. I mean really how hard is it to act stupid? It's just mildly entertaining but it gets old and predictable after awhile. Everyone is taking this show way too seriously. It's like watching jerry springer. It's all about the drama and it is fake, or at least I hope it is. Anyway I don't know why someone would want to watch fake stupidity when you encounter so much real stupidity in life already. I watched a few episodes but just can't get into it. It has unbelievable idiocy and the characters make me want to kill them all.

Second of all...it's ENTERTAINMENT people!! It's no worse than watching daytime soaps or any of the other pointless crap on TV. I come home from my corporate job, eat dinner, laugh at these fools for a hour, and get on with my life...I don't think that has any negative reflection on my personality. What is more upsetting than the ridiculousness of this show and it's popularity is the fact that the cast represents the stupidity and over indulgence of young adults. I am 22 and I like to go out with friends and have a drink, but if I ever acted like Snooki, I would WANT to blow my brains out. It's fine to have fun, you're only young once, but the cast needs to go to grow up.

I am from New Jersey have spent many many summers down the shore working, partying etc. Never once did I or anyone I hung with act or portray ourselves in such a negative light....Never. We partyied, played, worked, caused disturbances but never ever like this. This is a TV show. These people are paid to act badly and have major problems. I cant wait until this show runs its course, and all the actors get old and develop the inevitable drug and alcohol addictions that are bound to come when they lose their fame and everyone stops caring about them. At least one of them is going write a book when theyre like 40 about how f-ed their life became after the show ends, complete with crack addictions, bankruptcy, and overdoses.

I've been abroad many times, and never once did I encounter anyone who said they hated Americans, probably because most people know that stuff like this is not representative of most Americans, and that this is in fact just a television show and by no means does it typify the behavior of the majority of Americans. I've also been all over the United States and I've lived in Boston and Atlanta and beyond, but never once did I meet anyone who behaves the way these people sometimes do. I've yet to witness anyone urinating behind a bar or being arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct on a beach.I do not personally know of anyone who behaves this way or has ever been known to behave the way some of the players on "Jersey Shore" behave .Do you? Probably not, is my guess. (And I hope not, too.)I just think it's a simple,harmless televised diversion for some of us. I don't laugh with them, but at them, as another person posting here explained it. There is definitely a difference. But other than the generalization, I do see and appreciate your point. Cheers!
I am in agreement with AustinBaby–one can only hope that one day some of these cast members will acquire enough dignity and maturity to look back at this televised portrayal of their behavior and feel at least a little bit of shame. I know I would. I'd probably want to die of shame if I saw myself behaving the way members of this cast sometimes behave. My face would catch fire from pure shame if I watched myself falling and stumbling drunkenly on a beach until a couple of cops came along to hustle me off to jail. I can just see the headline now: "Girl's Face Catches Entire City on Fire!"(Film at 11!)

I think it's fun to watch, I don't know why, but it is fun. I mean, who wasn't a bit wild on their twenties? I sure was, though I was also very responsible and studied very diligently at an Ivy League university,because I had to, as it was anything but easy, and I definitely can't say I ever got arrested, nor did I urinate behind a bar, a sthat's just disrespectful and gross. Nobody wants to have to clean up urine.
