'Pretty Little Liars': Four lobsters in a tankOf all the bumper stickers on the road, "Humpty Dumpty was pushed" is the one that's supposed to make Hanna forget that A - most likely the person who put her in the hospital - scrawled a creeptastic message on her cast. But, ABC Family obviously knows what they're doing - "Pretty Little Liars" will return for a second season come summer 2011. In the meantime... Finally home from the hospital, Hanna finds a large sum of money hidden between sheets of uncooked lasagna noodles while scouting the pantry for a snack. Let this be a lesson: Never hide something beside a delicious treat like Pop Tarts.

Jon Stewart speaks out about Tucson tragedyIn light of the tragedy in Tucson, Jon Stewart kept the jokes to a minimum during "The Daily Show's" opening monologue last night. "It's hard to know what to say. Obviously the events this weekend in Arizona weigh heavily," he said. "I can give you a typical compilation of the day's news excesses, but it doesn't really seem appropriate." Instead, Stewart tried to make sense of Saturday's shootings, which killed six and injured 14 others.

Chely Wright: I received death threats after coming outCountry singer Chely Wright came out as a lesbian last May, but she's only now speaking up about the repercussions of revealing her sexuality. "My record sales went directly in half. If it appears from the outside in that it’s helped my career, it could be because I haven’t talked about the negative," she tells lesbian pop culture blog Autostraddle. "My life has been threatened. I get nasty letters every day, 'I’m through with you Chely Wright, you’re going to hell.'" Wright, whose hits include "Shut Up and Drive" and "Single White Female," says she decided to come out after nearly taking her life by putting a 9 mm gun in her mouth.

Owen Wilson's going to be a dadWe're not sure what was in the water or the air on the set of Woody Allen's upcoming "Midnight in Paris," but Owen Wilson is another one of the movie's stars expecting a new arrival. "Owen Wilson and Jade Duell are happy to be expecting a baby,” a rep for the 42-year-old actor confirmed to CNN. This will be the first child for Wilson, who has been with his girlfriend Duell for more than a year, according to Entertainment Weekly. Along with another expectant star, Marion Cotillard, Wilson can next be seen in “Midnight in Paris” along with “Cars 2” and the Farrelly brothers' “Hall Pass.”

Shakira splits from boyfriend of 11 yearsAfter 11 years together, Shakira and her agent beau Antonio de la Rúa have called it quits. The singer confirmed the news yesterday in an open letter to fans on her website. "Since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship. Throughout this time we have continued to work together hand in hand, have remained close and have kept the details absolutely private, until now," she says. The 33-year-old Colombian singer adds that the pair views the separation as a time of individual growth, and that they will remain in each other's lives professionally. "Antonio continues to oversee and conduct my business and career interests as he has always done," she says of de la Rúa, the son of a former president of Argentina. "We move forward as partners, developing projects together, working hand in hand and in close communication. Our friendship and understanding of one another is unwavering and indestructible." |
