'Burlesque' in the lead for upcoming Razzie nomsSometimes it's an honor just to be nominated – but not when it comes to the Razzies. The nomination ballots for the awards celebrating the worst movies of 2010 have just been mailed out, and "Burlesque" leads the pack, with nods for worst actress (Christina Aguilera), worst supporting actress (Kristen Bell and Cher), worst supporting actor (Cam Gigandet), worst screenplay, and worst director. The glitzy musical was not, however, considered for worst picture, reports the L.A. Times. That distinction went to "The Bounty Hunter,” “Clash of the Titans,” “The Expendables,” “Grown Ups,” “Jonah Hex,” “Killers,” “The Last Airbender,” “Little Fockers,” “Sex and the City 2,” “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” “Vampires Suck” and “Yogi Bear.” Vivica Fox is engagedThe end of 2010 saw a slew of celeb break-ups, but there’s still plenty of love left in Hollywood. Vivica A. Fox is the latest star getting ready for a walk down the aisle. A rep for the “Set It Off” and "Independence Day" actress confirmed to CNN that Fox is engaged to Omar “Slim” White, an Atlanta-area club promoter. White, 27, presented Fox, 46, with an eight-carat sparkler on December 26 while the couple was spending the holiday at the Ritz Carlton South Beach, People reports. The two have been dating for just over a year, and are looking forward to building a life together. "They are both eager to start their lives together and have a family," a source told People. "She is so excited; it is heartwarming to be around her." This will be marriage No. 2 for Fox, who was previously married to singer Christopher "Sixx Nine" Harvest from 1998 to 2002. About last night's 'How I Met Your Mother'...Editor’s Note: This post contains spoilers from the January 3, 2011 episode of "How I Met Your Mother." The bright red “50” sitting on Lily and Marshall’s doctor’s desk at the beginning of Monday night’s “How I Met Your Mother” looked like any other prop… at first. But, a moment later, when the numbers 49 and 48 appeared on a pamphlet and a bottle of hot sauce, viewers knew something was up. It was the countdown to bad news, which, for a moment, seemed like it might be the couple’s inability to conceive a child naturally. Kim Kardashian plans to stay single - for nowWith a hit E! reality series and a successful fashion and fragrance line, Kim Kardashian has transformed herself into one of today's most popular stars. In fact, she tells February's Glamour magazine, "I get letters from little girls begging me to adopt them." Despite her popularity, the star of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and the upcoming "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" says she'd be totally fine if the spotlight dimmed tomorrow. Read the full interview with Kim Kardashian in Glamour "I think I'm really at the point now where I feel I've done so much that I'm OK with not having that attention," she tells interviewer Katie Couric. "Sometimes it's overbearing. I used to think that I would never feel this way. Before, we used to buy all the tabloids and see if we were in them…Now, I don't even buy [the tabloids]." Moments later on 'Pretty Little Liars'After five months without “Pretty Little Liars,” I was hoping the first episode of 2011 would reveal some clues as to who A is, how Alison was murdered and, more importantly, "whodunit." Instead, we got about 42 minutes of Hanna lying in a hospital bed, and yet I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. The second half of season one began exactly where the first half left off: Hanna was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car near Camp Mona, the slumber party located in the woods where a teen girl was allegedly murdered a year prior. Like that wasn’t going to end badly. Tim McGraw is ready for bad boy roleHis Southern drawl, easy smile and well-fitting jeans make Tim McGraw an ideal on-screen partner. But after playing the dutiful husband in films like “The Blind Side” and “Country Strong,” McGraw is ready to start being a bad boy. “I’m looking forward to killing someone,” he told The Boston Herald, referring to his upcoming role in the 2012 film “Safe House.” The country singer-turned-actor stars opposite Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington in the CIA drama. “I love the dramatic, heavy, darker stuff; that’s what I do best as an actor,” he said. |
