Franco bringing two lit classics to big screenJames Franco is one busy guy. As Marquee previously reported, the "127 Hours" actor is set to host the February 27 Oscars and is preparing to write and direct a film based on the life of slain "Rebel Without a Cause" star Sal Mineo. Now, "Palo Alto" author Franco is planning to bring two literary classics to the big screen, reports Showbiz411.com. The first is William Faulkner's "As I Lay Dying," which Franco plans to direct based on a screenplay that he wrote. Franco told Showbiz411's Roger Friedman he hopes to begin the project next spring. Meanwhile, Franco also hopes to take on Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian" in 2012 and is currently in the process of making a deal to write the script and direct the project. Those hoping to get a glimpse of 32-year-old Franco's talents as a filmmaker will get the chance at this month's Sundance Film Festival, where he'll show off his art project film based on the hit '80s sitcom “Three’s Company." |

He's dreamy and so talented I can't wait to see what he does next
He has so much talent that he can bearly contain himself. I find him oddly fascinating, and hope he continues to put out quality work.
He's pretty easy on my eyes, and way do they always say there gay. Like it matters when it comes right down to it. He's good looking, successful, and happy with his life. Which is more than You can say about most people.
Someone please replace him with someone that is easier on the eyes... jjeez

He's a h0mo from what I hear.
even IF he was gay, who cares he has an amazing talent, he is an incredible actor. And not afraid to do what he wants. Other actors in their long careers have not done ALL of what James has accomplished in his career.
Keep it up James!!!!
so much talent , I cant wait .... Im a franco fan through and through
