Monday by the numbers: 5 rings, 3 newborns and 1 expecting ballerina

Between the holidays and the snowy weather, it can be tough to keep up with all that's happening in Hollywood. For those of you who missed the blizzard of baby and engagement announcements that poured in over the past few days, we offer this handy wrap-up.

After two years of dating, actor Joey Kern, 34, proposed to "Big Love" star Ginnifer Goodwin, 32, earlier this month with a ring he designed. Eighty-four-year-old Playboy founder Hugh Hefner brought out the bling on Christmas Eve and asked 24-year-old Playmate Crystal Harris to be his wife. Singer Jason Mraz, 33, presented fellow musician Tristan Prettyman, 28, with a ring, and "SHE SAID YES!" he tweeted.

And Eddie Cibrian, 37, and LeAnn Rimes, 28, who kicked off their relationship in 2008 while still married to other people, confirmed to CNN that they got engaged "over the holidays and are very happy."

Meanwhile, Natalie Portman, 29, dropped a bombshell and announced that she was not only engaged to 33-year-old "Black Swan" choreographer Benjamin Millepied but also expecting his baby.

A slew of other celebrities also joined the baby brigade with Christmas Day arrivals: Rocker Alanis Morissette, 36, and husband Mario "Souleye" Treadway welcomed son Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway; country star Dierks Bentley, 35, and wife Cassidy delivered their second daughter, Jordan Catherine; and Elton John, 62, and husband David Furnish, 48, became first-time parents to Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who was born via a surrogate.

I dunno, can I have your job? I think I can retweet celebrities better than you can.
