Soulja Boy's new album sells 13,000 copiesSo far, the new album by rapper Soulja Boy hasn’t exactly been able to “crank dat.” MTV reports that “DeAndre Way” sold only 13,000 copies in its debut week. Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Way, has had greater success in the past, having broken onto the music scene in 2007 with the hit single "Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)." A Billboard feature about the rapper reported that the single was the 14th-best-selling digital song of all time with 4.6 million copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. He also found success in 2009 with the singles "Kiss Me Thru the Phone" and "Turn My Swag On." It could be that fans prefer Soulja Boy in smaller doses. Billboard reports that “Pretty Boy Swag,” the first single off his new album, has sold more than 500,000 copies.

as an Army vet who has served in Iraq i do not support his music especially his newest track that talked down on the military. my husband is in Afganistan and its not an easy job. i know not everyone supports the military but i highly doubt this guy would go out there and do what so many of us have done and continue to do everday.

Everyone saying he's gunna be broke, did you not read he sold over 500,000 copies of Pretty Boy Swag. He is never goign to be broke, because he is too clever business wise. His album went bad because of song choice, there were several songs he left out of the album that should have been on it
