Sarah Palin and Kate Gosselin go camping“Sarah Palin’s Alaska” saw a major drop in ratings after its first episode aired, but we're guessing next Sunday's show may spark a bit more interest. A guest appearance by Kate Gosselin and her eight children can’t hurt, right? The December 12 episode of Palin’s TLC reality show features the two famous families as they embark on an Alaskan camping trip and UsMagazine.com has a first look at the promo for the upcoming episode. “She’s going to rely on me to protect her,” Palin says of Kate, who shares that she has “never camped for real.” The look of horror on Kate's face as she watches the former governor shoot a rifle gives her away. “Our ruggedness is really a mystery to people in the lower 48,” Palin adds with a smile. Will you watch?

I am so sick and tired of people being rude and hacking up Sarah Palin, George Bush and even Obama – of whom I am NOT a fan. But he is your President and mine and you don't bash a President, present or past – it's disrespectful not only to the office of President, but to your Country. Now we get to see her grubbing for the spotlight even further, by grabbing onto the coat-tails of Sarah Palin & Family. Ok. I admire Sarah Palin's personal convictions as a person but this is a perfect example of why I hope she's not going to be seriously considered YET for a presidential candidate. She walked away from an elected office to cash in her popularity and to be a booster for conservative candidates. This show is just indicating early that she's simply becoming just another silly celebrity trying to wring all she can out of her moments of fame. If she wants to be taken seriously, she needs to cut this garbage out now and gain some maturity and start being more selective in her projects. Yes, they are college educated-and up until quite recently they probably DID work hard. However, Palin, QUIT on the state she chose to govern-left "her people" high and dry-there is nothing admirable about that-regardless of the extent of ones education. Kate-well-she needs to get back to reality-and NOT reality TV! Attaining a nursing degree is quite difficult to say the least, however, her putting personal wealth before her children' s obvious needs, again inexcusable- regardless of the education she attained. Putting the star of one show into another show is what TLC does when ratings are declining. Sarah Palin's ratings are dropping like flies. Hence, let's put the star from one of the more successful programs onto Palin's program in an effort to help. And it will work- for that episode. After that, not so much.
You realize that due to Palin's very busy schedule that these shows were probably recorded weeks in advance when the producers couldn't possibly predict the ratings success or decline. Attributing Kate's appearance on the show to simply an attempt at a ratings boost is likely just someone looking for any reason to rip on Sarah Palin. Try again.
She acts like people down here in the lower 48 don't ever go camping or do outdoorsy stuff. Camping, hunting, white water rafting, mountain climbing, fishing, spelunking, etc are all activities done down here in the "lower 48" as well.

Alaska isn't a magical place, it's beautiful but it’s beautiful for a reason to live up here you have to be slightly crazy because you have to be willing to put up with nine months of winter. Now I am not saying what you are seeing on her show isn't Alaska because it is but, its Alaska in the summer when it’s nice if you want to see the real Alaska come up in the middle of winter January or February when it -15 and the wind is blowing 30mph if you come up here and experience that and still like it then feel free to live here but don’t think that Alaska is a great place to live I have seen it before when people move up here in the summer and aren't ready for the winter and they go crazy. Alaska changes people sometime for the worse.

Anyone with a shred of intellectual curiosity can compare her record in elected office to that of Obama from 1998-2008. 10 yrs is a long period. Her record towers over his. Not even close. Obama was a below average US Senator with no meaningful legislation to his name who just added 3 trillion dollars to the national debt in 1.5 years. Of course some left wing zombie will defend Obama's pathetic record with the standard " He was editor of the Harvard Law review" 99 yrs ago.

First of all, while her records in politics are not drastically poor, she has displayed time and again that she allows her personal beliefs (i.e. religion) to interfere with her politics (google Wasilla Palin Library for example). Second, her reputation, lack of understanding of important issues, and rigid right-wing philosophies would simply destroy any shred of decent international reputation the U.S. has at the moment, should she be elected POTUS.
Sorry to inform you but as a governor she was NOT successful and quit. And as far as Obama adding trillions of dollars in debt, that, my dear, is nothing compared to what George W. Bush did to the US of A by getting us into the Iraqi war. In fact, there was a surplus when Clinton left office which Bush and his cronies promptly spent. Our ecomonic woes are a direct result of the Bush II administration.
