Margaret Cho: Bristol was forced to do 'Dancing'Margaret Cho has nothing against Bristol Palin. Really. That said, the 41-year-old comedian recently dished about her "Dancing With the Stars" rival, claiming Bristol's mother, Sarah Palin, forced her to do the show so the public would forget Bristol's notoriety as a teen mom and the former governor of Alaska would gain fans if she runs for president in 2012. "I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it," Cho wrote on her blog on November 29.
"Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the [2008] election, and so she told Bristol she 'owed' it to her to do 'DWTS' so that 'America would fall in love with her again' and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way." To sum things up, Cho explained, "Instead of being supposedly 'handicapped' by the presence of her teen mom daughter, now Bristol is going to be an 'asset' - a celebrity beloved for her dancing." While Cho gives 20-year-old Bristol kudos for improving her dance skills each week, she can't help but think it was more than just fancy footwork that kept her in the competition. "Keep in mind there are other forces at work here and it’s not just for the love of dance," she noted, adding, "Now I am scared I am going to wake up with a decapitated moose head in my bed."

Sarah Palin is a politician attempting to subvert celebrity culture into a position as leader of the 15th best educated country in the world! It's not rocket science, and this rumor is plausible. People are flawed, in all sorts of ways. We're not like chocolate, which can simply be melted and smelted and tempered and worked into perfection. We're like Rock Candy, imperfect but beautiful, slightly opaque but if you look hard enough you can see the light on the other side.
Politicians are people, people are fail. Having faith in your leaders requires a devotion nearly as blind as that required by many popular religions. People are human, they will let you down. They will be lazy, they will be greedy, they will be lustful, slothful, and vengeful. Even when you trust them to be right, they will occasionally, and often be wrong. If Sarah Palin becomes President, she will have managed to get paid for nearly her entire campaign as a pundit, a mother, an Alaskan, and a gosh darn nice lady. A win for reality television! Mike TeeVee would be so proud!
I'm glab that Michelle Obama is going after fat people like Margaret Cho and Oprah Winfrey and forcing them to eat healther foods for their health. These people just can't control what they put in or what comes out of their mouths. Go Michelle!

I didnt even know who Cho was until DWTS, and as for the Palin clan comments...does it really matter. I would have said that Bristol did this because she wanted to and that Sarah had nothing to do with it. Yes McCain lost and some think that it is Palins fault...but i know several people that didnt vote for Obama just because they liked Hilary more (meaning they voted for McCain because Obama beat Hilary). Bristol is/was/never will be a celebrity, so i don't understand why she was ever on DWTS. Sorry but the show is called 'Dancing With The Stars', not 'Dancing With Politician's Daughters' so Bristol should NEVER have been cast. hopefully celebs who get asked to be on future seasons of DWTS refuse, especially since there was clearly some sort of conspiracy this season to keep Bristol on the show as long as possible regardless of how bad she was.
