Black Eyed Peas score Super Bowl performanceThe NFL has scored a touchdown with their selection for this year's Super Bowl halftime entertainment: the Black Eyed Peas! "They could have picked anybody," band member will.i.am tells Rolling Stone of the NFL's decision. "But it says something that they picked us." The Black Eyed Peas are releasing a new album, "The Beginning," on Tuesday, November 30. Fans who buy the CD could have a chance to see the group's February 6 live performance at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Super Bowl gig is considered a coup for entertainers because it reaches an enormous audience. Last year, more than 153 million people tuned in to see The Who's halftime show.

BEP is a great band. They are good people at heart. The Who and Aerosmith were great bands 150 years ago and now they are cadavers and move and sound like then
The BEST halftime ever was U2 after 911 – please if u havent seen it then chexk it on youtube. Best tribute ever. Will bring tears ti your eyes.

It's not the black eyed peas who suck live, it's Fergie. She's awful live. Great songs though.
Rock That Body is the only song that they've made thus far that I can actually say that I enjoy, but I only like the beat.. I think I should be thanking David Guetta and Rob Base for that, though. Regardless, it'll still be the only relevant and interesting performance in years.. The Who? Bruce Springsteen? Just die already, or at least update your styles. Doesn't matter what new songs they make, they still sound old..

Prince rocked it. Michael Jackson rocked. Janet Jackson totally rocked it!! The Who didn't so much rock it. I believe the BEP will deliver an electro soul shake down.
Nothing beat Prince's half time show a few years ago. That man rocked it in the rain!
BY FAR ONE OF THE WORST LIVE SOUNDING PERFORMANCES IVE EVER HEARD , THEY'RE LUCKY THERE ARE MACHINES THAT MAKE THEM SOUND GOOD ON DISC.
I love hearing BEP on the radio but i agree that they are TERRIBLE live! They cannot sing without autotune.

The Who last year disappointed. It was like one long CSI commercial. I don't have strong feelings fo the Black Eyed Peas but they'll probably give a really good energetic show.

Not excited at all about this 🙁 it'll be the same techno songs they've been performing for the last 2-3 years. ALL of their songs have the same beat & sound it's boring. & last years half time was pretty damn good. It's not about halftime it's about the GAME.
Agreed there garbage. Aerosmith a few years ago rocked and so have a lot of the other halftime shows.
