Carey Mulligan admits crush on Mario Lopez

She earned an Oscar nomination for 2009's "An Education" and has starred opposite actors like Michael Douglas, Johnny Depp and Jake Gyllenhaal, but the highlight of Carey Mulligan's career so far has been meeting Mario Lopez.

During a recent L.A. Times Young Hollywood roundtable chat, the 25-year-old British It girl revealed that she's had a crush on the "Saved by the Bell" star ever since she saw him at L.A.'s Muscle Beach during a family vacation when she was 11.

And to this day, she still gets flustered when she sees the "Extra" host at Hollywood events.

Book says Anna Wintour most connected celebrity

If you want to get somewhere in the showbiz industry, you might want to start hanging out with Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

A new book by University of Southern California professor Elizabeth Currid-Halkett, titled “Starstruck,” claims Wintour is  "the ultimate gatekeeper" of celebrity, the New York Daily News reports.

Currid-Halkett analyzed a year's worth of celebrity photos recorded by the Getty Images wire service from 2006-07 as well as Wintour's social network, which revealed the style maven is "more connected than anyone to these major, major stars," the paper said.

'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Charlie Sheen most popular actor on earth?

It's Brooke Anderson here, and today I’m really fired up over Charlie Sheen’s attorney and his unbelievable defense of the "Two and a Half Men" actor.

Yale Galanter just appeared on HLN’s “The Joy Behar Show” and claimed that Charlie’s alleged hotel rampage in New York City may have never happened.

Yale admits Charlie did bring a woman up to his room, but basically denies everything else! So where did all the reports of Charlie’s wild night come from? And if they aren’t true, why doesn’t Charlie sue the tabloids for spreading rumors?

The reviews are in on 'Conan'

Battling with Jay Leno is so last season.

Conan O'Brien's competition this season is Jon Stewart and so far things couldn't be more pleasant between the two – at least on Stewart's part.

As "Conan" kicked-off on TBS last night,  Stewart was pretty welcoming to his fellow 11 p.m. slot dweller. “I want to congratulate Conan O’Brien and his crew,” the "Daily Show" host said. “They are back on television tonight. I don’t know when.”

Wedding news and a 'Teenage Dream' on 'Glee'

"Glee" is welcoming a new warbler tonight in the form of openly gay prep-school student Blaine, but the Hollywood Reporter is giving fans a sneak peek at the episode in which the character sings Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and captures the eye of McKinley High's Kurt Hummel.

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly reports that the episode, titled "Never Been Kissed," finds Kurt (Chris Colfer) being harassed by the school's football team before heading off to check out the New Directions' competition. That's when he meets Blaine (Darren Criss), the star of the glee club at the all-boys Dalton Academy.

Blaine, who is rumored to become a potential love interest for Kurt, will teach him to become confident in his sexuality and not let the bullies get the best of him.
