'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Would MJ have approved of 'Oprah' interview?Oprah Winfrey just sat down with Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, for a big exclusive interview that is airing today. But that's not even the biggest headline! Michael’s three kids also sat down with Oprah and revealed brand new details about their father, who fiercely protected his kids’ identities. Of course the first thing that came to mind was if Michael would have approved or not. I tend to doubt it. We never got to see much of them at all until after he died, so I can only presume that he would have continued to shield them from the public, for better or worse.
In the interview with Oprah, Michael’s kids do share some intimate details about the late pop superstar's skills as a father, including the things that he would do for them that made them feel special and whether or not they liked wearing the masks and veils out in public. Mike would not have approfed of his children with Oprah, becouse Mike would always protect them from all possible media and also highly from Oprah. She had mentioned Michael negative and she mean that he was childmolester so absolutely NO !!!! She is deceitful , liar...

the kids are just lovely and well mannered. I am glad they are leading an almost normal life..like going to schools and such. It's sad to see them missing their dad.:( all the best from Celebs911

Michael would NOT have approved of his precious children being displayed on Oprah. She appears to be the Tabloid Queen...with the questions she asked Katherine and the children. Plastic surgery, drugs, child molestation charges...in the same program with his children and parents!!! Are we so jaded and desensitized not to think this outrageous and inappropriate? Not one word about Michael's record-breaking philanthropy, humanitarianism around the world, and transcendental inspiration to millions (on six continents). Shameful.
And so Joe and Katherine's habit of exploiting children continues, Jackson would never approve of an interview as they are still children and should have been adults before entering the public eye. How much did Oprah pay? That is the real question, outrageous abuse of guardianship by a pair of octogenarians with their track record. Shame on Oprah for paying, but bigger shame on Joe and Katherine who do not seem to be able to deal with adults

Michaels sitting here next to me so I asked him what he thought. He said it was cool as long as Oprah took them out for Ice Cream afterwards.
BTW, please tell Lisa Marie that I've gotten to know Michael up here and I now approve of your marriage to him, although it was a little strange.

i'm sure michael wouldn't be happy with this interview. i wish oprah leave michael jackson and his children alone.let have MJ peace in death,let him rest in peace.
First of all they are kids and KIDS SHOULD BE KIDS! MJ's kids should not be on TV doing an interview at all! They are MINORS remember! MJ wanted them protected from the crazy nuts out there! Why are Katherine and/or Joe or whoever is behind this letting them do this stupid interview?! I don't care if the kids wanted to talk, they are KIDS...when they become ADULTS then if they want to let them do an interview! Sometimes bodyguards aren't enough! Remember the media is out there and look at what they did to MJ! He grew up in the spotlight and his kids should not be going thru what he went thru! THIS IS ONLY MY OPINIONS! So please don't tell me I'm judging anyone. Thanks. 🙂
I don't think MIchael would be happy to know his Children were interviewed by Oprah!! Do understand his Mom and the rest of the Family were there,,, mostly for SUPPORTING Mrs. Jackson and Michael's Children!! Katherine J did get emotional at times talking about MIchael and how he died... was very SAD to see her sooo upset!!! My opinion is that don't think Oparah should have kept on with the questions about details on MIchaels death!!!! HOPING Oprah will STOP now with the interviews!!!! LEAVE THE JACKSON FAMILY AND HIS CHLDREN ALONE!!!!! GIVE THEM SOME PEACE,,, LET THEM GET ON WITH THEIR LIVES!!!!

Yes, those two look like typical African-American children...
I am sure that Michael would mind but then one has to remember that it was he who received the threats of kidnap and the details of what would be done to his children if they were kidnapped. He has nightmares about it and consequently he became paranoid about their safety, The positive side of them wearing masks when out with their father was that they could venture out freely without masks on with their nanny, their bodyguards, friends and relatives without being recognised.. Michael Jaclson's life was not like anyone else's, if you did not spend time with him you cannot possibly know what he endured or what it was like to walk in his supremely gifted and often very painful shoes.
The world already saw them at the memorial so who cares if they do an interview? I trust Katherine's judgement. Too much secrecy creates rumours & harassment from Michael's fans.
I think he would mind. He seemed to be very protective of his children especially when it comes to the media. With that said I do feel his mother is taking great care of MJ's kids and wouldn't do this interview if she thought it might harm them.

I don't think that he would mind, his mother does takes care of the kids, and they are not in public every day, so every now and then for the fans, she let's them know that the kids are doing great. She is not using the kid's for publicity, but for people who loved MJ to know that his kids are doing ok....
I think the kids are in good hands as well, but Prince doesn't look comfortable there. Paris fit right in but inevitably, they will flee the coup in a few years. Blanket just is awkward.
