Randy Travis and his wife split after 19 yearsRandy Travis and his wife, Elizabeth, have split after 19 years of marriage and 34 years of working together, their publicist confirmed to CNN. Their divorce became final on Friday, October 29. “Elizabeth and Randy Travis have agreed to part ways,” the official statement said. “Elizabeth will remain Mr. Travis' personal manager. They do not intend to comment any further and ask for your respect for their privacy during this time.” Randy, a well-respected country singer and occasional actor, has won six CMAs, nine ACMs, 10 AMAs and six Grammys. The couple met when the then 17-year-old Randy was performing in a Charlotte, North Carolina, club that Elizabeth owned. “Lib” and Randy moved to Nashville together soon after where she hired him as a cook and singer at “The Nashville Place.” Their romance developed and they married in 1991. She is 17 years his senior.

I agree fuoly with everything Izzy said on Nov. 2. Randy is a great performer and Lib came around at the perfect time.
She did a lot to turn Randy around to the guy he is and I, for one, will always be grateful to her for that.
I understand where Chrissy comes from (post of 11/10) but while I understand her
position, and while I do not like the cheating, you do not want a guy to stay in a marriage
that has no love in it. I believe, in my heart, that Randy is doing the right thing–he just
didn't do it correctly.

I've been a fan of Randy Travis for over 20 years and I hope his career keeps right on going. I've heard the gay rumors since BEFORE he married Lib, as well as the marriage-of-convenience thing, too... also heard he had an affair. I'll just never mind the rumors for now and see what happens. He's still a great entertainer.

I recall that shortly after they were married Randy said that they just got married because it would keep the young gals from chasing after him. It was just a marriage of convience.

I was surprised when Randy and Elizabeth got married in the first place. I'm surprised it lasted this long simply because of the age difference. Randy is a great singer. She must be a great manager. But in this case maybe they ought to consider a clean break. Why drag the misery on? Oh well, it's there lives. Best wishes to both of them.
After so many years, why even divorce? They have been together long enough at a certain age, why even go through the hassel of divorce?
I have been a Randy Travis fan for 23 years. I whole heartedly wish nothing but the best for them. And those of you that can only come up with false and cruel things to say need to grow up. somethings happen in a marriage and people have to agree to disagree and go their seperate ways. I think they are handling it with amazing class. I wont lie, i want to be the next Mrs.Travis. LoL. But I will give him some time first. LoL.
More than 3 decades together . . . that is wayyyyyyyyy longer than the majority of people in the entertainment biz .

Don't know when photo above was taken, but I think she looks better, and maybe even a little younger, than he does. He's a nice-looking guy, just doesn't have a "bright" look, to me. Hope he hasn't run off with a young bimbo after his wife's brains have guided his career. Not to take away from his incredible talent, of course, but it is doubtful even Elvis would have been the success he was without the Col. Parker.

I met Randy and Elizabeth several times when I lived in Reno, NV. They are a super nice couple and he was ever the gentleman and she was very sweet. He is as true as the songs that he sings. Just a good ole boy! I hate to see them split, but that is between them and I wish them all the luck as they go through the next chapter in their life. God bess ya'll!

I get paid 85/hr and sometimes I also sit around doing nothing, in between days and weeks of furiously doing my job. If you don't make more than 35-45 hour you don't really get it. I also have a friend who makes 10grand a WEEK and she feels underpaid (and probably is). Dropping into low-iq sites like this, once in a while, helps keep us techie people sane (saner than the people making 10 bucks an hour anyway). AND I'm 64 years old, so that contradicts the bull that there aren't jobs out there, even for fat old women like me... because I get offers every week, and I'm not even looking. If you can't say the same thing, then shame on you! STUDY, LEARN GROW LIVE YOUR DREAM. It's still possible.
