Zach Galifianakis lights up joint on live TV

The HBO series "Real Time With Bill Maher" went to pot – quite literally – during a visit from guest Zach Galifianakis on Friday.

Discussing California's Proposition 19 ballot, which aims to legalize marijuana use, the star of "The Hangover" noted that, "It's a tricky thing, politically, to jump on that bandwagon, because I think that maybe people see it as taboo still."

Galifianakis then pulled out a joint, lit it up, and began puffing away as host Maher and his panelists sat stunned and amused. The funnyman then handed the joint to conservative television and radio commentator Margaret Hoover, who took a whiff and assured the audience, "It's real."

'The Walking Dead's' gutsy premiere

Editor's Note: If you don't like spoilers of any kind, you should probably stop reading now.

Just a few minutes into Sunday night's premiere of "The Walking Dead," director/executive producer Frank Darabont made sure you knew exactly what you were in for.

After coming upon a young girl-turned-zombie, our hero, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), dispatched her with a bullet to the head.

At that point, either you're along for the ride or you're not.

'Dilemma' director will keep gay joke in film

Vince Vaughn's "electric cars are gay" joke may have been cut from the trailer for "The Dilemma," but director Ron Howard says it's staying in the movie.

Despite public outcry from both GLAAD and CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who declared the words insensitive and harmful, Howard told the Los Angeles Times, "I believe in sensitivity but not censorship."

And so viewers will hear the offending line uttered when the film arrives in theaters in January.
