Who's performing at the Rally to Restore Sanity?Funnyman Jon Stewart may not be laughing when he finds out that the hush-hush details of tomorrow's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear in Washington, D.C., have been revealed. The Christian Science Monitor has obtained a copy of the event's permit, and according to Rolling Stone, the document includes the names of all of the celebrities who will be on hand - as well as a few who are still "TBD." The rally is expected to kick off at 10 a.m., with videos and music entertaining the crowd on a Jumbotron until music group the Roots take the stage at noon. A comedian will join the fun at 12:40 pm, getting the audience ready for "The Daily Show" host, who will appear at 1:05 pm.
Comedy Central colleague Stephen Colbert arrives at 1:20 pm, bringing along actors Sam Waterston and Don Novello to perform readings. At 1:40 p.m., singers Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy take the spotlight for a 10-minute set. Grammy winner Sheryl Crow will follow with a five-minute gig at 2:15, followed by more unannounced speakers and singers. Stewart and Colbert will end the three-hour production with final statements. Though the permit application expects a crowd of 60,000, over 226,000 people have RSVP'ed on the site's official Facebook page. |

troll much?
All the time, sweetie. Just to make you smile.
I wish it was called "Bus Ride Off a Cliff" and you were driving the bus.
At least if you eat a cookie you won't sing that terrible song while you're doing it. That song sucks.
So you went in '63 to the speech. You want a cookie?
Yes I do as a matter of fact, smartass!
LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO!
I went to the 1963 March on Washington. When I saw the last summers “Restoring Honor” gathering abusing the memory of Martin Luther King I wrote the song “Bus Ride To Washington” You can view it by following this address. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_slIO8CxDw
I hope that John Stewart's "Rally For Sanity" will live up to its name..
