MTV's 'The City' canceled

Looks like Whitney Port is packing up and leaving "The City." The New York spinoff of the California-based "The Hills" has officially been canceled, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest on Monday, 25-year-old reality star Port hinted that following two successful seasons, it looked like her Big Apple experience might be coming to an end.

“As of right now it doesn’t really look like we’re doing it anymore,” said the Whitney Eve designer.

Now MTV is confirming that the fashionable series is finished. “‘The City’ will not be returning to MTV for season three,” an MTV spokesperson told the Hollywood Reporter. “Whitney has been a part of our family for many years and we wish her and the cast the best, and hope to collaborate with them again.”

For her part, Port says she is ready to move on. “It’s okay, one door closes and another opens,” she cheerily told Seacrest, adding that she's “working on some other things.”

Who cares? I've never heard of this series or these people. Just another bunch of nobodies doing something barely anyone cares about.

@kiki, how do know these reality stars haven't gone to school & worked their butts off to become designers?

I am not sure how these kids become fashion designers just because they are on a reality show. The most brilliant fashion designers have worked really hard at their careers! The fashion industry is NOT an easy one but, it's a great one if you love it!
