Who's seeing 'Paranormal Activity 2' this weekend?

Halloween is just over a week away, and hopefully the thrills and chills will start early with the arrival of "Paranormal Activity 2," the follow-up to last year’s word-of-mouth smash, "Paranormal Activity."

While last year’s film took us into the creepy house of suburban couple Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat, this year we segue into the, er, spirited home of Katie’s sister, her husband, and their two children, a teenage daughter and a newborn son.

Although the cast of characters has changed a bit, the central idea behind it is still the same, and many critics deem it frightening enough to still make you want to sleep with at least one light on.

Taylor Swift goes brunette for Target

It's good to be Taylor Swift. The country/pop singer is releasing her third album, Speak Now, on October 25. Her fans are clamoring to give her a national holiday and her alma mater - Henderson High in Tennessee - just named their auditorium after her.

But the biggest news in Taylor land today comes from a commercial she taped for Target to announce their exclusive deluxe version of her album. The album features three new music tracks, three remixed tracks and 30 minutes of video content. The commercial features the golden-haired girl as a brunette, as you can see in the behind-the-scenes photo above.

“I’m all about being able to give the fans special extras whenever I can," Swift said in a press release.

We think she looks cute as a French tootsie wanna-be - what about you?

Pamela Anderson to grace 13th Playboy cover

The 13th time's the charm for Pamela Anderson. That's how many appearances the former "Baywatch" star will have made on the cover of Playboy magazine when her issue hits the stands in January 2011, according to a rep for the publication.

In a post from his official Twitter account on October 20, Hugh Hefner announced that 43-year-old Anderson is set to grace the pages at the start of the new year.

"Pamela Anderson is in the Mansion swimming pool, posing for the January cover in a tribute to 'La Dolce Vita,'" he wrote, referring to the classic 1960 Fellini film in which actress Anita Ekbeg romps in Rome's Trevi fountain in a slinky black gown.

The joy of 'Big Bang Theory'

Poor Leonard.

He goes for weeks with no central storyline on “Big Bang Theory,” and then when he gets one it revolves around how he is the only one in his group without a female companion. Even Raj is apparently now hanging out with a hearing impaired young lady.

Wow, Leonard. Has it really come to this?

'Jersey Shore': Alligators, frogs and... grenades?

Despite a few funny one-liners, the second season finale of “Jersey Shore” didn’t quite live up to its potential.

But - as per usual - we’ll start from the beginning…

The gang’s trip to the Everglades was mildly entertaining, though it would have been more so had one of the cast members been eaten by an alligator - or at least one of the giant bugs, which are “about the size of Snooki,” according to The Situation. And then there was Pauly D’s brilliant assessment of the airboat’s propeller: “That would work better than my hairdryer.”

Gwyneth Paltrow feeling nervous about CMAs

She may sing about being "Country Strong," but Gwyneth Paltrow is getting weak in the knees at the thought of performing at the Country Music Association Awards.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is set to croon the theme song from her upcoming film of the same name, confesses that she's more than a little bit nervous about making her live singing debut at the November 10 awards event.

"If I don't faint, if I can just get through it, it'll be OK," she said in a radio interview, according to CMT.com. "Most people start in a bar, then a bigger bar, then maybe a theater. You're not supposed to just start at the CMAs. It's a little scary."
