A few Emmys later, 'Modern Family' is back!

After a wildly successful first season, and winning six Emmys, what does "Modern Family" do for an encore? Stay just as funny as ever.

Wednesday night's season premiere had the show continuing right where it left off in terms of delivering the laughs. Best of all (as usual) were Cam and Mitchell, with Mitchell determined to build a princess castle all on his own.

Cam immediately seizes on the opportunity to bring Jay in, who is reminded by Mitchell of a project they worked on in the past. "That was my Vietnam. And I was in Vietnam," Jay said. FULL POST

New 'Harry Potter' trailer shows off 'dark times'

There are 57 days and counting, “Potter” fans, until the first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is released on November 19. In the meantime, though, you can check out the latest trailer. (Over and over and over again, if you need to – we understand. We did the same thing.)

The trailer begins with an ominous statement - “These are dark times, there is no denying” – which definitely sets the tone. This preview seems to be much more action-packed, and gives fans a peek at just how “dark” this movie will get.

The two-minute clip highlights the dangerous mission Harry, Ron and Hermione embark on with hopes of defeating Lord Voldemort, who is just as creeptastic as ever.

What do you think? Can November not get here fast enough?

Joaquin Phoenix apologizes to Letterman

Now that the ruse is up and the truth has been set free that Joaquin Phoenix was simply acting crazily for the not-actually-a-documentary, “I’m Still Here,” the 35-year-old star sat down with David Letterman on “Late Show” Wednesday night to apologize for any ill will he may have caused.

Except it looks like Letterman didn’t really have any – although the late-night host did say he wasn’t in on Phoenix’s act when he sat down for an interview that’s now in the annals of pop culture history.

“You know, I’ve always liked you,” Letterman told a clean-shaven Phoenix. “I recognized you as a powerful talent…And then a year and a half ago you come out, and honestly it was like you slipped and hit your head in the tub.”
