Real problems for the 'Real Housewives of D.C.'

Yes, "The Real Housewives of D.C." is a reality show, but how often does the cast actually deal with real problems? Well, last night, a few of them actually did.

Michaele and Tareq were looking for a new home in Washington, so of course they called Stacie, who’s a realtor, to help them look.  But Stacie was looking for a clue as to where the money will come from for the Salahi homestead. She had some real concerns about the scandal surrounding their vineyard and whether they had the money for the dream home they want.

Meanwhile, Lynda was moving into her new home outside the city. Most people would have a housewarming, but she chose to burn sage around the house to bless it or something. She also sprinkled some holy water and said a Jewish blessing, so I suppose she was just covering her bases.

Mary’s big problem this week (again) was keeping Lolly out of her mini-mall of a closet. She didn’t secure her fancy biometric lock she keeps talking about and her daughter borrowed something. When Mary tried to talk to her husband Rich about it during a football game - mind you, this is a discussion they've had before - he basically said, if you’ve got a lock, use it. But seriously, if the biggest problem you have is your kid wearing some of the clothes from your store-sized closet, count your blessings.

Stacie is the one with a real issue; she was adopted and she’s trying to find her biological family. Stacie has found her mother, but she refuses to give Stacie the info on her father, even though she’s kept in touch. Jason wants to contact the natural siblings on Facebook, but Stacie’s reluctant to drop that kind of surprise on someone through social networking.

Cat also had to deal with a difficult personal situation this week: She got news from home that a good friend has died. Cat said she felt alone because she’s so far from home and her husband is traveling again, and she ended up calling Mary for support. Cat attempted to take her mind off it by going out with some of the "Housewives," but a friend of Lynda’s reminded Cat of her friend and she started crying.

But back to the crazy couple on this show. While Mary said over dinner with Stacie and Jason that she thinks Michaele isn’t happy with Tareq, she's certainly not happy with Tareq’s mom.

Mama Salahi sued them over the vineyard, and then cops showed up to try to have him removed from the property. Michaele talked about how tough it's been trying to put on a good face and how it's affected everything, including her health - it looks like the other "Housewives" who said she's lost and unhappy because of Tareq are apparently on to something.

So what do you think, is Michaele just trapped on Tareq's crazy train, or is she a willing participant in his madness?

This housewives show is the most boring, manipulated program on tv today. None of their personalities get any empathy from me. They all come off meaningless namedroppers. This is where our goveernment is being played out? We're in trouble...

you got it Toaste. I watched a couple of times and simply could not figure out what there was to give a crap about these people and their rather uninteresting lives. So they live near DC. BFF, it's not like they actually have an impact on policy making there. At least I hope to God they don't::)

Who cares what they're actually doing or saying? They're always hot women. I like to turn the TV on mute when they're on anyway.

I'm with Chris ... the only true problem here is that this show exists and that you pathetic slobs who actually watch this trash fuel their self-obsessions.

If this show isn't a sign of the imminent decline of American society, I don't know what is. Anyone who watches this dreck should be ashamed of themselves. Get a friggin' life.

So you don't watch huh, you only read articles about the show and put others down. Thanks for judging others.... isn't that the type of behavior that leads to the decline of society

The only REAL problem is that this show is garbage and these women are talentless, gold-digging losers. Have a nice day!

Why comment if you don't watch. Keep your negativity to yourself and let those who want to enjoy the show, enjoy it.

As much I'd like to say Michaele is trapped, I think she's a willing participant.

She seems to love him very much and doesn't act like someone trapped in a relationship.

They're partners in crime and a very shady couple.
