Michelle Williams: I seem to be naked in a lot of movies

Michelle Williams gets steamy with Ryan Gosling in the upcoming movie "Blue Valentine," but the actress admits that baring all on the big screen isn't easy.

"I have the usual self-loathing and body issues, and yet I seem to be naked in a lot of movies," the former "Dawson's Creek" star tells the October issue of W magazine.

In the interview, Williams, 30, also admits she was nervous about the upcoming nude scene she had to film for "Take This Waltz," the drama she's currently making with Seth Rogen.

"I’m getting naked with a group of women - all ages, shapes, and sizes - in a YMCA locker room," she says. "The nudity has to end somewhere [Laughs]. It would be really nice if the pictures did not get posted online. But then maybe that’s a reason to do it: Just get naked, and who cares if it ends up on the Internet."

"Blue Valentine" co-star Gosling, 29, agrees that shooting movie sex scenes can be difficult, but he is definitely up for the challenge.

"In real life sex is messy, and we wanted to get at that wonderful messiness," says the former Mouseketeer (who tells W he still goes to Disneyland as much as he can). "Actors become very professional and proficient about watching out for each other’s light and not stepping on each other’s lines. All of these things are artificial, and you have to strip that away if you’re going to achieve a sense of intimacy."
