I enjoyed it the film and CB's chase scene was incredible. In fact, I ran across THIS blog while looking for footage of the chase scene. I'm a 40+ man with daughters and I hate the idea of any guy abusing women. I think CB's actions with Rihanna deserved severe punishment. That being said, I believe sooner or later everone has to account for their actions. I hope CB has learned from mistakes and I hope he receives forgiveness. To Chris Brown I say: Young man, much success to you. You have extraordinary talent. Use it to be a blessing to others and keep your head up.

The difference between Sean Penn and Chris Brown is, Let's see.
Sean is white and was given a pass. Chris is black and is a covicted felon.
I'm quite sure that the author of this story purchased TICKETS FOR MANY of Sean Penn's OSCAR-WINNING MOVIES. Question: Were you aware that he's a WOMAN BEATER TOO???!!! 2ND QUESTION: What is the difference between he and Chris??!! I see none.
@ Turtle, my neighborhhod and the high school I went to was multi-cultural and harminous. This was 6 guys, not the whole country. I am sure that there are multi-cultural groups of friends who get along fine. Especially when they have the same goals in mind. I know I for one have a diverse group of friends. Sorry if yours doesn't. @ Dr.Lombardo, crime has always been romanticized, rather it is white collar crime in movies like Broiler Room, which was great, or The GodFather. It is what it is, if people's minds are so easily influenced what they watch is the least of society's concern. The movie was great, and Chris Brown did 95% of all his stunts. He jumps around like that at his concerts, and is skilled and talented.
This Movie is a Waste of Film. We are Glorrifying Gangsters and making them Hip and Cool.
What real life neighborhood is as Mult-Cultural and as Harmonious as this flick.
THIS MOVIE IS A MUST SEE FOR EVERYONE! I love action/heist movies and this one is a doozie! It is NOTHING like "Heat", it's very stylized, "hip", with a good moral outcome. Isn't great that it is the FANS that go see the movies and pay for a ticket...not critics! Geez!
Paul Walker, HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN, Michael Ely, Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez and Chris Brown...congrats guys we, THE FANS, loved the movie! I thought EVERYONE'S acting was superb and the filming was quite different and stylized. The movie is over before you know it and those scenes when the Russians are after them are AMAZING!
The movie is AWESOME!
I am a 64 year old woman, I took my daughter and granddaughter (who is a Chris Brown fan) to the movies on Friday to see Takers. It was a great movie. Matter of fact, my granddaughter went to see it again yesterday with her friends.
As for Chris Brown, he is a talented actor, singer and dancer. "This Christmas" is my favorite holiday movie in which he did a great job. Keep looking up Chris. Dr Lombardo (I am not playing the race card) but what about Scarface, Bonnie and Clyde and all the other white gangster movies in the past that everyone thought were great movies (just saying)
(just saying)
Interesting Janet, as my post contained absolutely no inkling of race, color, or creed. I would assume that it must be very important to you, but you're not playing the race card, right?
Jest sayin'....
This movie would appear to be "Heat" for the twitter teen generation. CG graphics and a rapper do not make a good movie...
This movie I thought was total eye candy and very good! I loved Chris Bowns running scene and how the action in here was so intense leaving you at what's gonna happen and who's gonna survive! Love it!
I seen "Takers" this Friday, and it was a great movie. Eevryone did a great job,and so did chris of course. I was so excited to see the movie, and I was not disappointed. I agree with all the comments made EXCEPT for TD. Your just another negative person(smh).Takers was great and I'm gonna see it again!!!!
the problem with celebrities is the media...how long does a peson have to pay for their crime before the media will leave them alone. So many celebrities have done worst things than what happen to Chris Brown. He paid for his crime, now let him learn from it and move on with his life. Such a wonderful movie!!! Duces
Toni your so right. people in general think they have the right to judge and make their own descisions. When they have probably made mistakes their self.
Im SOOOO happy people are starting to make up their own minds and not believe all the media says. The movie was AWESOME!!!! Its so good to see all the POSITIVE from the fans and people instead of all the negative stuff. It's hope Chris Brown does read all these comments so he knows ALL people are not negative and people do love him. He's a wonderful entertainer, acting, singing, and dancing.
I agree with everyone's comments, especially Mr. Goldberg. Not only do Chris Brown have the number one movie, seeing he was one of the executive producers of Takers, he also has the number one song on billboard single, hip-hop, r&b, which will be updated on Thursday. According to billboard and other music sites, his song " Deuces" move the fastest on billboard singles since Destiny Child in 1999, has the most spins on the Urban Radio making it number one there too.
It was the most excellent movie I've this year. Good job CB.
I knew it 🙂 This is so very cool and especially for Chris Brown.
I agree with everyone! This movie was the movie of the year!! They couldn't have put a better cast together than this. I thought Chris was going to kill himself. Wow!! I went to Vegas on Friday but as soon as I got there I went to see this movie and it was well worth it. Chris was excellent. He is a good actor and singer. Keep up the good work!!
4 realzzzz
kthxbye
Couldn't agree more! I personally loved this movie and I waited in anticipation for 8 months for the release as i often google CB to see what he has coming out. It was a great film and the whole cast did a great job! I think CNN and all the other haters should just give it a rest already, the whole world knows what happened almost 2 years ago and it should not overshadow Chris's talent for the rest of his life...we all do very dumb things now and again and I guess we are just lucky that the world can't weigh in on everything bad that we've done! Loved this movie and love Chris Brown!!!!!
I find it strange that CNN took the time to devote several articles to downgrading the film and of course young R&B Star Chris Brown but instead of writing another lengthy article lauding the success of the movie you so heavily criticized, you decide to give the readers a quick backwards nod and turn it into a blog. Shame on you CNN!
Saw the movie, loved it! The acting was good, the plot was good, the ending was great! Chris Brown did a magnificent job, they all did ! Let that Rhianna mess go, give the kid a break, he's paid for his crimes! Good movie, way to go!!!!
I'm so happy for the director & cast! Everyone tried to bash the film but the people spoke & we love TAKERS. I've seen the movie 3 times & each time everyone in the theater applauded Chris Brown and chanted go Chris go...that chase scene was awesome!!! Each time everyone gave a standing ovation at the end. I really enjoyed this movie and can't wait until the dvd is released. GREAT JOB GUYS
I agree with you all!!! And I will pay to go see it again this weekend as well!!!
I echo the same sentiment as Mr. Goldberg. The audience was reacting the same way to Chris Brown's chase scene. The movie was good and I will pay to see it again this Labor Day weekend.
Hi five Piat!!! So would I. LOL!!! It's about time they stop attacking Chris. What he did was wrong and he knows it and is very sorry. And by the way he was only 18 and didn't know what he was doing. If he was 25 and above, now that's a different situation. At that age you ought to know better. Let it go haters!!! I'm a girl and I've forgiven him since so why can't the "so called adults do the same"? Geeeeezzzzz!!!
Nicely siad! I couldnt have siad it in a better way myself! All those haters who wrote sh1t here n siad it would flop on friday should comment now! Lets see what excuse they gonna use now!
It's Said, Not Siad
All that bagging of the film by the critics, and CNN's entire article bashing Chris Brown saying he's "A Problem For Takers", and the film still came out #1 on 1,000 less screens than the Exorcism film.
Way to go guys! I guess the Us Magazine editor from the bashing article should go see the film. With audiences yelling and giving clapping ovations during Chris Brown's entire chase scene, I think he'd be hard pressed to state the kid hasn't found redemption with audiences.
It's great to see people make up their own minds, instead of letting the media lead by way of judgment, and support a great cast in a great film.
@Michael Goldberg, Very well said my friend! I was outraged by the CNN story actually attempting to put the success of failure of Takers on the back of a 21 yr old kid! He played his role to perfection as did the entire cast! I read and heard comments on every news outlet denigrating the storyline and of course Chris Brown for an incident that occurred almost 2 years ago! Enough CNN let it go and let everyone move on. Chris and the entire cast did a wonderful job. I saw it last week with my little CB loving niece and I plan to see it again this coming week with friends. Peace!
EXACTLY!!! Chris's chase scene stole the whole movie!! Chris has a great career ahead of him still and he could even wind up with an Oscar nod for his performance in Takers.. That chase scene had my pulse going crazy!! and YES the audience loved that film and Chris in it!! To The Suckie Press I say: Go make lies about other people.. you did to to Michale Jackson with out let up, now Chris Brown,But kiss Charlie Sheens woman beating ass... Shut up and speak for your selves... We the fans LOVED TAKERS!!
