Kirstie Alley 'too chicken' for 'DWTS'

She may not have had a problem flaunting her bikini body on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," but Kirstie Alley isn't about to show off her footwork on national TV. The actress has admitted that she's just too terrified to do "Dancing With the Stars."

Addressing recent reports that she'll be one of the celebrities competing on the upcoming season of ABC's hit dancing competition, Alley, 59, tweeted yesterday, "Just a rumor. Imagine that. NOT doing DWTS this season... Way too chicken!! Maybe next season if Im invited again!!!"

That's not to say Alley doesn't know her way around the dance floor. In fact, in a 2005 interview with Winfrey, 56, she revealed that - besides circuit training - dancing was a huge part of her fitness regime.

"In between each piece of equipment I dance really hard. And then I dance at the end for about 20 minutes," she said. "I do this anywhere from four to six times a week. And then I pretend like I'm Muhammad Ali at a disco."

John Mayer slams HuffPo for Aniston story

Hell hath no fury like a man who is no longer dating Jennifer Aniston. Just ask the Huffington Post. It appears that a recent story on their site has struck a bad chord with the singer.

On Thursday, HuffPo wondered if the soulful singer and his ex Jennifer Aniston were back on, quoting a London newspaper’s account of statements he reportedly made at his Hollywood Bowl show on Sunday.

“You can still start over again from home base,” Mayer reportedly said. “Next time you get a text from the one you love just text back 'come over' - no matter what happened in the past. If you really love someone, just tell them and be with them.”

'Bachelorette' star Ali wants to elope

Girl meets boy on reality show. Girl falls in love with boy(s). Girl wants to be married, like, “right now.”

At least, that seems to be how the love story goes for “The Bachelorette’s” Ali Fedotowsky. The 25-year-old reality TV star told People that she and winner Roberto Martinez, 26, would elope, if not for worries about disappointing their families.

“We just want to be married,” she said. “We’re just excited for that. We’re like, ‘Let’s be married - right now!’”

Is Jeremy Renner the next Tom Cruise?

What does an Oscar nomination get you? How about a co-starring role opposite Tom Cruise? "The Hurt Locker" star Jeremy Renner has been tapped to join the "Top Gun" in the fourth "Mission: Impossible" movie, according to Deadline.com.

The casting of the 39-year-old actor comes as a bit of a surprise. Paramount studios had reportedly been seeking younger actors to join the "M:I" team to help breathe new life into the enterprise and eventually carry on the franchise for the 48-year-old Cruise.

Among the names considered: Chris Pine ("Star Trek"), Renner's "Hurt Locker" co-star Anthony Mackie and white-hot Brit Tom Hardy ("Inception").

Happy 'Avatar' re-release day!

Oh, “Avatar.” Even though you give some of us the blues, we still can’t quit you.

Thankfully, James Cameron and 20th Century Fox heard the plea of fans who were craving more from the alien universe he created – in 3-D, of course – and so the studio is releasing “Avatar: Special Edition” only in theaters equipped with digital 3D, which includes IMAX.

To be clear, this isn’t the exact same “Avatar” that was released last December – there’s a whole extra nine minutes in this version.
