'Bachelorette' star Ali wants to elope

Girl meets boy on reality show. Girl falls in love with boy(s). Girl wants to be married, like, “right now.”

At least, that seems to be how the love story goes for “The Bachelorette’s” Ali Fedotowsky. The 25-year-old reality TV star told People that she and winner Roberto Martinez, 26, would elope, if not for worries about disappointing their families.

“We just want to be married,” she said. “We’re just excited for that. We’re like, ‘Let’s be married - right now!’”

A rushed wedding does seem appropriate given the premise of “Bachelorette” - date 25 guys, whittle it down to one and get engaged, all in a timeframe of 10 weeks. Why wait a reasonable amount of time to tie the knot?

For now, though, the couple is still planning a wedding. Fedotowsky announced on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this month that she was hoping for a spring ceremony.

So far, Fedotowsky has picked out a possible wedding dress designer and first dance song. She told Us Weekly that she's considering Monique Lhuillier for her gown.

As for the music, Fedotowsky told People that she is leaning toward “Bendita tu lauz,” a song her fiancé first played for her. “It’s beautiful,” she said. “It’s our own organic song.”

Alas, the wedding must go on, but that hasn’t stopped Fedotowsky from jumping the gun on a few minor details.

“I’ve even caught myself saying, ‘This is my husband Roberto,’” she told People. “I always thought it would be funny to even think or say that, but if anything, I feel like it’s hard for me not to say it.”

Here’s hoping spring gets here before the inevitable breakup rumors.

She is in desperate need of a nose job and possibly shave down that jay leno jaw of hers. She has very manish features and is the least attractive of the bachelorettes.

These are reality show people. This isn't a real relationship and shouldn't be taken for a real relationship.

I agree with a post earlier on the negativity of some people. Need to get a life-a happy life. This bachorlette did everything right with clas.Ali and Roberto from the start there was a special connection and marriageis in their eyes all the way. Ali is the most beautiful, smart, classy and great personality of ALL the Bachorelettes. Her show was most filled with adventure and fun. She didn't stand around with a wine glass, dressed as she a fake doll , and seen just making out the entire show. with them all.

That couple in the picture above. They look so nice together against the backdrop of ocean and palm trees. Roberto looking so hansome and Ali glorious. I'd say, Roberto got lucky. I do hope he treats her right not be like that Jake or some of the other two timing batchelors.

Hopefully, Rrroberrrto can teach Ali how to roll her R's. It drove me nuts to hear her say his name. And folks,
it's how-la-pen-yo! How-la-pen-yo! Jalapeno. Not Ja-lop-en-oh or how-la-pea-no. Jalapeno. Grew up in the southwest, have my own Roberto so I'm picky.

Better go back to Nacho Daddy and get some more Spanish lessons, dear. You can't even pronounced jalapeno correctly.

Why does everyone always have to be so negative? Yes it was a reality show, but love can be found anywhere. Maybe for most of the couples that have come out of this show it doesn't work but there are couples who are still together. If they say they are happy why don't we try believing them. Maybe it wont work out but I'm not going to be one to slam them just because they are a reality couple. I personally wish the best for them.

I really wish them the best. They are a nice couple. I wonder if we get to be treated with live tv coverage of the wedding or is the wedding is going to be private? We'll wait and see.

How silly, saying "I want to elope" defeats the purpose of eloping. Elope or don't.

What do you expect?!?!?! She's on a reality show.

How silly, since she clearly says they're NOT eloping, just that she'd like to. Therefore, there IS no purpose to be defeated.

Ali is a phony. When she was on the Bachelor, she claimed her job was in danger. How can this be when ALL the contestants had to get leave of absence from their jobs? Also, ALL the contestants had to turn over their cell phones. She was just trying Ed's strategy with Jillian. Who, btw, have since broken up.
