Bristol Palin on 'Dancing with the Stars?'We won’t know for sure until Monday, but the Internet is ablaze with rumors about who will be on this season’s cast of "Dancing with the Stars." The latest alleged dancer is none other than 19-year-old Bristol Palin, E! Online reports. If that's true, she'd join David Hasselhoff, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Audrina Patridge, Brandy, Michael Bolton, Florence Henderson, Rick Fox, Jennifer Grey, Margaret Cho and Kurt Warner, according to EW.
OK! is speculating that Ali Fedotowksy and fiancé Roberto Martinez might join the cast as well, adding to a short list of former "Bachlor/Bachlorette" contestants to dance on the show. There is, however, more Internet hype for some possible cast members than others, with E! Online and OK! both reporting that Palin and Sorrentino will definitely be dancers this season. We're not saying yay or nay....just, you know, pointing out the coincidence. “It’s people like that who come on the show who people will tune in and watch because either it will be a travesty or it will be interesting to see somebody turn something completely around,” "DWTS" pro Derek Hough reportedly told OK!. When asked for comment, ABC wouldn’t divulge any secrets. “We don’t comment on casting rumors, but be sure to tune in for the announcement this Monday night during ‘Bachelor Pad,’” a representative said. I've been browsing on-line greater than three hours these days, but I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It’s beautiful value sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made just right content as you probably did, the net will likely be much more useful than ever before.
Bristol is the worst! She is just a little joke that has been strung on way too long.I completly hate how she can stay on the show when she has no tallent, and now are getting rid of the good dancers.It makes me laugh she thinks evryone wants her off because they dont like her mother. I just think she sucks at dancing, and apparently so does everyone else.

I believe the question was asked by Showbiz of who was more interested in attention, Palin or Levi. Neither. The media comglomerates, i.e. agents, newscasters, promoters, etc., are the ones with the most interest in notariety. Palin and Levi were asked to be on the show or perhaps their "agents" asked for them. I don't think for one minute that these unsophistcated young adults are in control of what the media does.
Bristol Palin? She's a kid who couldn't keep it in her pants, got knocked up, and has a parent in government. So that's what it takes to be a star? Wow. Granted, at least I've heard of her, but unfortunately it's for the wrong reasons IMHO.
When this show first began, it seemed the premise was to spotlight actors/celebrities that had "no professional dancing experience"
They have, it seems, each season, continued to add more and more 'stars' that have had extensive dancing experience. Now they have Jennifer Grey? Come on! She studied dance for years, even before the "Dirty Dancing" movie.
How about inviting some interesting people, like Anderson Cooper, or Robert Downey Jr. or some well-known authors? This cast of characters for this season is totally lame. I won't be watching either!

Yes, thanks for reminding me about Brook Burke as the new co-announcer. Not smooth or polished – ill at ease – smiling at the wrong times and so on. I felt like I wanted to help her speak. Ugh – with her again, and now Palin, I think I'll be checking out the Discovery Channel or the red box at the grocery store to rent movies.

Bristol has more of a reason than "The Situation" to be on the show. What did she ever do that's so horrible? I'm not a huge palin fan but at least they are pretty average folk & don't have a stick up their butt like most politicians.

To be on "Dancing with the stars" one is required to be a star, no? When are people going to wake up and realize that there is a difference between famous, notorious, and infamous?
Can we get real and maybe put people we can admire on that show- like Olympic athletes, or charity leaders, or at least C or D level celebrities? Bristol Palin- really? In the 20s, 30s and 40s (mid-late Jazz Age era), the term "star" was coined in reference to an actor or actress who gave premier performances in stage and/or screen. Shows like "Dancing With the Stars" would reflect the feeling of enamorment we would have with these people for their glamorous lives as well as their apparent talent which earned them their glamorous lives.

I don't really have anything against Bristol, but if it's true, I can't believe they would let her on. I mean, she's only well-known for a couple of reasons: a) because of who her mother is, and b) because she became pregnant as a teen whist her mother was the vice-presidential nominee of John McCain. If she hadn't become pregnant, I doubt she would be this well-known (after all, none of her other siblings really make the news as often as she does).

I have really enjoyed watching this show, but "stars"? That part has gone downhill over the seasons and is now wannabe's and has-almost-been's. It is very disappointing. In the first few shows it is easy to see who will be knocked out–those who have no public following. Public following is what got Donny Osmond the mirror ball. So even if Bristol Palin is in, she will be out quickly. I love watching ballroom dancing. I admire the professionals unreservedly. I was very impressed by Pamela Anderson. But this year, I know almost none of the "stars", so what is the point?

Hasselhoff! Sweet! What's this show about again, exactly? My wife watches it occasionally, but says she stays updated on the results always. My wife tells me she'll catch the an episode she has on DVR if there is a really good or really bad performance on the show. But now she won't even talk to me about it at all, because she knows I'm only asking because I know David Hasselhoff is going to be on the show, and yes, I'm a huge Hasselhoff fan. Go Hasselhoff, go! May the essence of Fred Astair be brought out in you when its your turn to dance on the show. Wait he is dancing on the show, right? Sounds more like cast for the "upchucking" season rather than the "upcoming" season. My wife still watches the show, but she works on puzzles until she hears the dance music start and then only watches the actual dances. She avoids all of the filler crap when the show is on. Last season, she taped the shows so she could fast-forward through everything but the dances themselves. I'll admit that I watched Buzz Aldrin, but it was painful to see.

You are correct, the level of "stars" has gone down the drain with the exception of course being Florence Henderson. I truly believe the show will "jump the shark" this season and we will no longer be inundated with this drivel.
