Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': The wronged wives club

What a difference a few months make for Sandra Bullock and Elin Nordegren.

When the new year arrived, both women were in the depths of despair, with crumbling marriages and their husbands’ cheating scandals splashed across the tabloids. But since then, in two dramatic tell-all interviews, these remarkable women have created a new club "Showbiz Tonight" is calling, “The Wronged Wives Club.”

Elin Nordegren stunned the world by opening up exclusively to People magazine this week about her painful split from Tiger Woods. She talked about being blind-sided by his multiple affairs, her severe emotional distress and going through “hell.”

The "Showbiz Tonight" staff agreed this morning that the 30-year-old displayed the same sort of grace and strength that Sandra Bullock showed five months earlier when she also surprised the world by opening up to the same magazine for the first time about her split from the cheating Jesse James. The actress wowed the entire nation by revealing that she’s not only over Jesse, but she adopted a baby boy!

We couldn’t help but think that these two women, who persevered through unbelievable pain and shame, have become shining examples for wronged women everywhere. So we’re asking in today’s "Showbiz" Flashpoint: Is there anything Bullock and Nordegren should do differently in their very public recovery from heartbreak?

Producer Kristyn Martin pointed out this morning that Lindsay Lohan could learn a few lessons from Nordegren about finding clarity and turning her life around as well. Lohan is now out of rehab, but we’re thinking that she’s got a long road ahead. The judge ordered her to random drug and alcohol testing, therapy sessions, seven meetings a week with a counselor, 12-step courses… How is this better than the rehab she was already in again?

Line Producer Jenn Gerardo thought that this is a brutal schedule for Lohan to keep up with outside of rehab, considering she was missing alcohol education classes before she even went to jail! So Lohan's calendar is going to be jam-packed in the next several months, but can she stick to the plan?

There have also been reports that Lohan was asked to join the cast of “Dancing With The Stars,” and though we doubt that will happen, we will reveal secrets of who will be dancing on the new season and why it might be a fist-pumping good time! We’ll tell you who could make the cast and bring you all the day’s news on “Showbiz Tonight” live today at 5 p.m. ET on HLN.

And remember, we're still TV's most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11pm ET/PT!

Like Elin & Sandra, I too am a member of the Wronged Wives Club. My husband was a US Army Officer in Iraq when he fell for a married Iraqi mother of 3. (The Army "says" they have a zero tolerance policy on this kind of activity.....yeah right!) But life goes on and "what goes around, comes around." There is a better life for all of us out there.

The judge was right in setting up schedule for Lindsay Lohan. she can take a break from acting and make them..As a person who has been in recovery for 22 years ,your soberity comes first before anything else ..If not she will be right back where she started from only worse.

Stop talking about Sandra Bullock and Elin Nordegren already. This is a disgrace to continue to make money on another person heartache. Find a real story, where is Kyron?
