Dear 'Entourage': This version of Vince can kick rocksI'm a little disturbed, "Entourage" fans, and not just because it’s Monday. It appears the beloved crew from Queens is officially "a man down,” and if the signs we've seen in Vince this season are par for the course, the "Entourage" will cease to exist long before the show ends next summer. But let me back up for a minute. You know, as "Entourage" starts each week, there's always that familiar feeling of, "OK, let's see what's gonna happen next!” Then as things wind down and the sweet music kicks in to set up the next episode, I think out loud to no one in particular: "OK, let's see what's gonna happen next." It ends as it begins. Always.

Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': Bill O'Reilly goes after Kim K.Happy Monday, Marquee readers. Hey, did you go to the movies this weekend? We're betting that even if you did, you probably didn’t go see the new Jennifer Aniston movie, “The Switch,” because it tanked. There weren't many card-carrying Team Aniston members in the "Showbiz Tonight" morning meeting but – so what? Does it really matter if Jennifer Aniston’s movies aren’t box office gold? On the other hand, the "Showbiz" staff just loves the “Jersey Shore.” We love it so much, two staffers even spent part of their summer there (sadly, no guest cameos on the show though). Anyway, the ratings for the show are breaking all kinds of records, and the "Jersey Shore” was the biggest thing on TV last week. Plus, there's the news today that “The Situation” is making more money than some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. No joke! And speaking of reality superstars, today we’re also talking about Bill O’Reilly’s Kim Kardashian smackdown. Did he really call her gross for doing a sexy photo shoot with Justin Bieber? 'True Blood' starts tying up loose endsEditor’s Note: This post contains spoilers for the Sunday, August 22 episode of HBO’s “True Blood.” Two things: First, this was far and away the best episode of the season so far. Second, I’d sell my soul for a t-shirt from the “True Blood” Confessions and Revelations Tour. With the season finale fast approaching, many of our questions were answered this week, so let’s get started! Everyone was in the mood to share, so let’s begin with the news we’ve all been on the edge of our seats for: Sookie’s a fairy. Yup, that’s the big news. Her reaction to Bill’s revelation was the same as mine, and I’ll just leave it at that. We also learned that vampires were likely responsible for the fairies’ extinction because their blood is as magical as it is intoxicating. Now that everyone’s on the same page with regard to Sookie’s newfound heritage, it’s become all the more important to protect her from Russell. So there’s that. Is it everything you hoped it would be?

Neil Patrick Harris tweets baby name teaserAfter asking the press to respect his privacy as he awaits the arrival of his twins, Neil Patrick Harris decided to divulge a big secret about the soon-to-be-born duo. (Well, sort of.) The “How I Met Your Mother” star, who is expecting two bundles of joy via a surrogate, tweeted on Saturday that he and partner David Burtka, 35, have chosen names for their kids and he wanted his fans to hear them first. “Hey there, Twitterland. As you followers have been so nice to me, I thought I'd return the favor with a scoop: we've decided to name our tw,” he wrote, intentionally cutting off the message. Though the twins won’t make their debut until fall, Harris, 37, has already taken home two golden prizes: the trophies he nabbed at Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards for his guest spot on “Glee” and his Tony Awards hosting gig.

Jennifer Aniston's box office bluesDespite complimentary reviews, Jennifer Aniston’s newest flick, “The Switch,” only earned about $8 million at the box office. The film’s shoddy opening weekend led several media outlets to pose questions like, “Jennifer Aniston: Exactly why is she a movie star?” and “Why don’t Jennifer Aniston’s friends help her more at the box office?” Even ESPN got in on the action when columnist Bill Simmons dissected each of Aniston’s past flops, proposing that the only reason the former “Friend” is still making movies is because of her love triangle with Brangelina.

Speidi sex-tape feud heats up over TwitterYou knew it was only a matter of time. After vowing to bare all about ex-wife Heidi Montag in a tell-all, Spencer Pratt is now taking things a step further by threatening to release a sex tape of her as well. On Saturday, the Speidi feud turned ugly when “The Hills” bad boy, 26, tweeted that he “Promises you the Citizen Kane of sex tapes. Honestly, Orson Wells makes a guest appearance.” Pratt also recommended that fans “wait for the Special Edition Sex Tape. Blu-Ray, director's commentary, and bloopers!" |
