Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah to make 'Joyful Noise'Here she comes again - country singer Dolly Parton is returning to the big screen in a new movie musical with Queen Latifah. In the upcoming "Joyful Noise," the pair star as two women hoping to stop a small-town gospel choir from shutting down. Forty-year-old Latifah, who earned an Oscar nomination for "Chicago," will play a mother of two who heads up the Pacashau Gospel Choir following the choir director's death, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Parton, 64, plays the choir director's widow, who also wants her late husband's job. The music legend, who appeared in hit '80s films like "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," "9 to 5" and "Steel Magnolias," hasn't made a major motion picture since the 1992 comedy "Straight Talk." In July, she hinted to Entertainment Weekly that she had a project in the pipeline, saying, "I might even possibly do a movie soon... I don't want to say what it is yet, but I've got a real good offer, and if it comes through, I'll probably start a movie in October to have a movie out next year."

I go to Gatlinburg every summer and spend about half my time in Pigeonforge in hopes that I actually run into Dolly. I've been to Dollywood and a couple of her little shops. I just LOVE DOLLY!!!!!
Dolly and the "Queen" are OK in my book; both very talented. This should be a very good movie, looking forward to seeing it. Their private life is their own business (only owe the public a good performance).

I love, love, love both Dolly and Queen. I'm really hoping this turns out well. They are amazingly talented women.

Dolly has helped make possible many new facilities and services including The Dolly Parton Birthing Unit at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center, which has provided top quality care for many years, and the new Dolly Parton Center for Women’s Services, which will soon be under construction.

Dolly Parton is a class act from start to finish - Not only is she a talented performer and a smart businesswoman, but she also gives back to the community through her literacy foundation which is now in almost all 50 states and in several European countries. We need more celebrities like her. I have seen her in concert and she also gives one of the best
all around performances I have seen - genuine and sincere.
Larry and Peaches you are both in the right place here! Where I am not a fan of country, this lady has contributed in so many ways to so many people that the trolls here have no way of keeping up. I would firmly support this if only to have another way for Dolly and Queen Latifah to give back. They are fine examples in a world of bad ones.

I've always found BOTH Ladies extremely classy and I've greatly admired their musical, movie and TV work. Anyone who doesn't (kittybling – talkin' to you here –) has no idea the range both women are capable of. For Example – Dolly is NOT country only. Neither is Queen Latifah hiphop only. (No country in "9-5" or hiphop in "Chicago", honey!!!!)
Biography Channel just showcased Dolly – amazing woman!! I'll be looking forward to Queen Latifah's biography next.....
