Joaquin Phoenix 'I'm Still Here' trailer hits webAs word spread that Joaquin Phoenix’s film, “I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix," depicted the former actor exhibiting some oddball behavior, many began to question if the movie was a true documentary or just one really elaborate joke. The trailer cleverly evades that question, answering nothing other than perhaps a personal query of whether or not one wants to trek to watch the entire film. According to the trailer, Phoenix realized that he is akin to “drops of water," on top of the mountain of success. (Stay with us.)
It seems that one day, began sliding down that mountain of success, as the trailer's narrator tells us, and also becomes aware that he, as a "mountaintop water drop," didn’t belong with all the other water drops chilling in the valleys and rivers. Perhaps it was at that point of realization that Phoenix began the “lost year” chronicled in “I’m Still Here,” directed by Casey Affleck. Phoenix is reportedly defecated on during the course of the film, but the trailer isn’t showing any of that, lucky for us. Instead, you will feel compelled to watch, re-watch and then re-watch again the minute long teaser trailer, just to see Phoenix pace distractedly, hug it out with P. Diddy and live his life as a mountaintop water drop, evaporating into the heavens.

I think he's just "acting out" his life and trying to make some kind of impression on the world. He hasn't been the same since the Oscar passed him by for Best Actor in Walk the Line. He was fabulous and should have been awarded the grand prize!

Just from what is described here, I completely "lost" interest and he can stay "lost" for a few more years. Basically, I say no thanks and who cares about his lost year? Sounds like he's overly self-absorbed feeling a bit too self-important.
