Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': Aniston fires back at O'ReillySuffice it to say the "Showbiz Tonight" staff is in a state of shock today! Dina Lohan revealed explosive new details to “Today” host Matt Lauer about daughter Lindsay’s time in jail and in rehab, the role she plays in Lindsay’s life and the new book and movie she’s working on. The overwhelming consensus is basically "poor Lindsay." As the elder Lohan rather unsuccessfully tried to refute the facts about Lindsay’s long list of troubles with drugs and the law, what emerged is a strong sense of denial on her part.
On today’s show we will examine Lohan's eye-opening interview. Plus, we will have the latest on the reports that Lindsay is leaving her court-mandated 90-day stint in rehab early. As "things Jennifer Aniston said" week continues, we've learned that the actress has responded to Bill O’Reilly slamming her single motherhood comment. Not that we’re keeping score or anything, but we think Jennifer Aniston is pulling ahead in this he said, she said showdown. Aniston is also quite clever - we love how she linked O’Reilly to Prince Charming… clearly she's learned a thing or two from starring in all those romantic comedies. And as if sparring with Jennifer Aniston wasn’t enough, Bill O’Reilly just launched another fight - this time with Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O'Donnell over O'Donnell's new show on Winfrey's OWN network. We’re asking in our "Showbiz" poll if O'Donnell's new show is destined to be a hit… or could it flop big time? The debate was so spirited during the morning meeting, we decided to take this hot topic to our Facebook wall and let the "Showbiz Tonight" fans weigh in. The "Showbiz Tonight" morning meeting was also really sweet today, thanks to our esteemed, rock ‘em, sock ‘em interns Laura, Kimmie, and Amanda! Thanks for the Munchkins, guys! Watch "Showbiz Tonight" live at 5 p.m. today. And remember, we’re still TV’s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11 p.m. ET/PT! |

My mother is a single mom. My fauther passed away from cancer and left my mom with 2 kids under the age of ten. My mom works 2 jobs and is rarely home. I am team aniston all the way. Children raised by single parents do just fine, my cousin was also raised by a single mom and she raised him by herself by choice! Yes there are good fauthers out there but a male influence is not always a must. I have a younger brother and he turned out just fine without a fauther and so did my cousin who is a boy. Todays familys are not all happy and have both parents most marriges end in divorce and mostr families have either lost a parent oir have had their parents devorce and they are just fine. Bill O'Riley needs to shut his mouth and talk to someone who is a single mom and children who have been raised by single mother and see that they are just fine!!!
So Bill O'Riley SHUT UP!!!!!
I raised my son by myself and yes it was hard at times, but life is hard for most parents. After all is said and done, my son has given me the most happieness and pride of anything else in my life. ( And I had much to be thankfull for.) He turned out to be a very kind and loving man and Father. Children just need to be raised with much love and given a identify of self worth.
Jennifer is not glamorizing single parenthood, nor is Jennifer “de-emphasizing” the role of a father. all Jennifer is saying that families are all different shapes and sizes and styles, which is perfectly true AND acceptable. I think anyone with half a brain could understand that. people just need to stop reading way too deeply between the lines and purposefully twisting what other people say! This is the Dan Quayle/Murphy Brown ‘controversy’ all over again! What is a family? If you have a mom, dad & 2.5 kids for a family, GREAT! If you have just a mom? Great. Just a dad? Great! Being raised by grandparents, aunts/uncles, siblings, cousins, GREAT! The term ‘family’ is relative to everyone. And as a woman who is planning to be a single mother, sooner rather than later, I find O’Reilly’s comments lacking & just incredibly stupid! ALL families — regardless of what they look like — count! Mr. O’Reilly and the rest of society seems to have forgotten that small tidbit.
what about women who have a husband (2 parent home) –man goes off to war, dies in combat, now woman is alone to raise children(1 parent home) there is a fine line here about 2 parent versus 1 parent households. We all have a right to our opinion, even if I was called a muck brain by post #2......it's all good !! There are women who want to be parents & if they choose to should have that right. I have a masters in social work –I help place the homeless in NYC - families both single& 2 parents.
Hailey, Its not a GOOD option is what Bill is saying. Its an option to drive a car with only 3 wheeels, its not a good idea. dont confuse the right to do something with it being a good idea. There are WAAAAYYYY too many cases of society having to support / imprision kids like this. Its hard enough raising kids with 2 people, much less 1 parent trying to do it alone. They choose this then choose to make society pay for them. Jen screwed up plain and simple. Dont get mad at Bill for saying waht needs to be said and letting you know what the BEST situation is.
Thank you – It is totally different if children don't have a father because the father died. And let's face it girls. If you can't find a decent man to marry and have children with, you have got no business having children. Jennifer Aniston would have no problem financially supporting any children that she might have. I have worked with single mothers. Most of them are divorced and they are miserable. They are struggling financially and exhausted. Jennifer Aniston has no business telling women that if you can't find a husband, go out and have children anyway. That is insane!
i TOTALLY agree with Bill O'reilly. Jennifer Aniston was married to a gorgeous, wealthy man and she lost her chance to have children with her husband.
Jennifer, I don't have a problem with the fact that you have not had any children yet but PLEASE don't tell women to go out and have children out of wedlock because you are on some man hating crusade! You probably have a few million dollars in the bank but most women don't. I raised my son with the help of my family and it was hard. There are already enough chilren out there without decent fathers!
Hey Nancy Jen is NOT telling women to have kids out of wedlock. She simply stated reality nowadays in which women themselves CHOOSE this. Did you read what she replied to that idiot? She said it is not the ideal situation but it IS AN OPTION for women who want this.
She is a phony, she is just talking for the movie. She tells other women to do it but she won;t do it herself. For GOD sake she is already 41, she probably needs donor eggs by now.
Hit me with your best shot....fire away !!! Jennifer has a right to express her opinions,so does Bill. However I can not stand Bill
you have a muck brain and dont belong on the post. Neither of these people have a brain and should keep thier pie holes shut. At best they should be making dirty movies together.
You can pay for school but you can't buy class.
