![]() The lost treasures of 'Lost'A building in an office park in the rolling hills of Calabasas, California is the last place in the world you'd expect to find some of the most iconic props and costumes from "Lost." What were they doing there? Hmmm... maybe we should wait six years and let you go mad pondering that mysterious question and then not answer it. Oh, don't fret, we wouldn't do that - we're not that cruel. The building was the headquarters of Profiles in History, a company that auctions off Hollywood memorabilia. They're putting thousands of actual "Lost" items used on the show on the auction block later this month, and we were there to get a sneak peek at the collection. Ellen takes the 'SYTYCD' stageShe may no longer be an "American Idol" judge, but Ellen DeGeneres still has a passion for reality competitions, especially "So You Think You Can Dance." On tonight's finale, as EW.com reports, she'll take on one of the most popular dances of the season, in place of Alex Wong, who was injured and taken out of the competition. Nigel Lythgoe is not exactly thrilled that the cat's out of the bag about the show's guest, but he did say via Twitter that DeGeneres was "incredible," adding, "Alex Wong's face was one of complete shock." Halle Berry: Finding a mate is a hard thing to doIf you’ve seen “The September Issue,” you know that month is serious business in the magazine industry. So when Vogue – the publication chronicled in “September Issue” – asked Halle Berry to be on the cover, there was no way she could say no, even though she’d sworn off speaking up in interviews. “I was burned-out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell,” Berry, 43, told the magazine. “I told my publicist, ‘I’m not going to talk anymore. I’m just going to live my life and be who I am.’” Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': Battle at the box officeThe "Showbiz Tonight" staff was still buzzing this morning about the fed-up flight attendant. New rumors are swirling about what really went down before Steven Slater went bonkers. We were also blown away by how many of our loyal "Showbiz Tonight" viewers (We love ya!) think Slater should become a reality TV star! Today we’re asking in our "Showbiz" poll which show Slater should be cast on, "Survivor," "Celebrity Apprentice" or "Jersey Shore"? He’s got a solid 7 minutes left of his 15 minutes of fame so we’re thinking he should milk them for all the dollars they're worth. By the way, what are your weekend plans? Are you heading to the movies? Even if you're not, we're sure you know there’s going be an all-out box office war between the nerds and the stars. Will Julia Roberts’ star power in “Eat, Pray Love” be enough to defeat Michael Cera’s lovable nerd-romantic-comedy, “Scott Pilgrim Versus the World”? Ohio town changes name in honor of Dee SniderObviously, it must rock to live in this town. On August 21, Cridersville, Ohio, will be renamed Snidersville, Ohio, in honor of metal legend Dee Snider. The 55-year-old musician, who hosts the nationally-syndicated House of Hair radio show, requested that the town switch up its name after a listener from Cridersville called in to request a song of his. The request was in jest, but then the town agreed to make it happen - at least for a day, according to a statement. “I've had many dreams and been lucky enough to have most of them come true, but I would never dare to dream of something like this!” Snider said. It's official: Kanye to perform at VMAsUpdated Thursday at 1:15 p.m.: MTV has confirmed that Kanye West will indeed perform at the 2010 Video Music Awards. Drake and Florence + The Machine will also take the stage at the 27th annual awards show on September 12. Kanye West might not have to steal Taylor Swift’s thunder to get noticed at the Video Music Awards this year. UsMagazine.com reported Tuesday that the rapper is set to perform at the 2010 MTV VMAs, but the network has yet to comment on the matter. Either way, we’re hoping West does perform - if only so Swift can hop on stage and tell him that she'll let him finish but....well, you know the rest. West’s “Power” video, or moving painting, recently premiered on MTV after an episode of “Jersey Shore," and his album is expected to drop in the fall. |
