CoCo's TBS promo one for comedy fansCan you judge a TV show by its promo? Maybe not, but we can try. The latest promotion for Conan O’Brien’s late-night show on TBS pays homage to Terry Gilliam’s “Monty Python” animations, although DeadlineHollywood thinks it's also a little reminiscent of a Peter Gabriel music video. [TBS, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.] Obviously, one can’t glean what a an entire program will be like from an 11-second ad spot, but fingers are crossed that this nod to comedy fans everywhere bodes well. CinemaBlend, for one, is hoping that this shows that O’Brien will have more room to flex his creativity than he did before. Or, as they note, perhaps he's just really into "Monty Python." Regardless, it's all still speculation – we don't even know what O'Brien has planned for the opening night. What we do know is that the show will premiere on November 8. Does the trailer give you increased hope for CoCo's show, or are you waiting to see it before indulging in the hype? |

Conan doesnt tell jokes as much as acts them out. Conan is more like Monty Python ... And Now for Something Completely Different ...
