Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': Will Ali and Roberto last?At least two people on the “Showbiz Tonight” staff watched the finale of “The Bachelorette” – me and our co-host, Brooke Anderson. Executive Producer Dave Levine cited statistics that only one of the four previous “Bachelorette” stars is still with her man, and that's Trista Rehn. We’re going to do the story today, and we want to know your thoughts: Is “The Bachelorette” becoming a big joke? Especially when you add in “The Bachelor” statistics, which show that about 16 out of 19 couples didn’t make it! On the conference call, Brooke piped in saying, “Though the odds are against all ‘Bachelor’ couples, I still love the show!” Do you think Ali and Roberto have a chance at love?
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen had everyone in our meeting rolling their eyes this morning with her motherhood philosophy. She declared to Harper’s Bazaar, “There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.” A worldwide law? This is the same woman who previously said that giving birth “Wasn’t painful, not even a little bit…The second day, I was walking, I was washing dishes, I was making pancakes in the kitchen.” Bundchen's latest comments made "Showbiz" Producer Mara Wilcox, who is also a mother, say, “She needs to stop talking in my opinion.” Do you agree, or should Bundchen be drafting international legislation on breastfeeding? And we would be remiss if we didn’t talk about the sentencing (or lack thereof) of Charlie Sheen! Sheen just pleaded guilty to assault after being accused of holding a knife to his wife’s throat in December. We all thought that should warrant some jail time, but we thought wrong. The whole staff was furious that the “Two And A Half Men” star was only given a sentence of 30 days in rehab which he’s apparently already served. All this happened on the same day Lindsay Lohan was released from serving 13 days in jail for violating her probation, which made us wonder: How is it possible for Sheen, who is guilty of assaulting his wife, to not receive a jail sentence while a troubled Lohan was thrown behind bars for violating probation? The ABC Bachelor-ette shows are a JOKE! People make fun of these people and generally assume that the relationships are fake. It's widely known that most of these people are looking for a career on TV or in Hollywood. No one could possible take this for real! The Jake and Vienna show was especially funny and lot's of media got to zing those two people. It's cheap laughs and ABC must know this. I've even heard of people gathering around the TV to make fun of these people so, why would someone want to be a national joke?
I'm a sucker for the bachelor and bacheloretts shows as well and have watched every season. Ali and Roberto do seem more sincere than the other couples that got engaged on the show, but this is a "fantasy" love that is created on the show and not a "real" everyday love. Sure, I would fall in love too with a very handsome guy in exotic locales, but will in last through the ups and downs of a "normal" existence.....probably not. I give this one a good 6 months when the "fantasy" starts to fade.
It amazes me that I am even posting a comment because this is so unimportant. However, I am a big sucker for romance. Ali and Roberto seemed to have a great romance that was not the least bit phony. The Bachelor and Bachelorette series gives couples the backround to "fall in love" in a vacation setting, romantic scenario, with no job or everyday cares, problems and worries to consider. It's not real or realistic to expect life to be this way. Most of these couples go through some sort of problem after the show when real life hits them in the face. When they realize that they are not compatible, they quickly break up. It's easy to have a vacation romance; quite another thing for a real-life romance. Although a huge skeptic, I wish Ali and Roberto all the love and luck in the world. They genuinely seem like nice people that are even better together as a couple. They seem to have a very good chance because they are concerned about the happiness of each other. Ah, the romantic inside me loves this show.........
I do think Ali and Roberto have a very good chance. If they continue to work on their relationship in the coming months
and I believe they will and fall deeper in love, I think there will be a spring wedding. She had an eye for him since she
met him the first time. I hope so and they both seemed happy and in the blush of the rose. Her body lanuage with Chris
was just not there as Pat above said. It was apparent.
Gisele has said so much and showed her butt so much trying to outdo Brigett and show off to Leo that she is absurd. It
shows. Having a baby is not pain free unless you have some sort of meds (my giving birth wasn't relatively easy); it is not
pain free for most women. My feelings are for all women going thru labor. As for breast feeding; that is up to a woman and her doctor. It's HER body–remember Gisele? Just keep your mouth shut!
Charlie Sheen thumbing his nose at us is disgraceful and criminal. Our youth are watching and see what lesson we are
teaching them. No wonder guns are taken into schools, etc. American wants to help straighten out our youth, well, this
is certainly not the way. Lindsay Lohan mentality. Disciple and rehab certainly but in prison. We have more suicide
with teens and hoodlums on into early adulthood. They are begging for guidance. We brought them here. Now let's take
of them. Charlie Sheen is plain a MEAN individual! Are we waiting for him kill someone? Will we let him go then? Lindsay
doesn't believe us either. Make believers of them and that will give them time to think about it. What's wrong with us cowards???? Money???Greed??? Somebody's life out here is nothing–money takes over. Is that what our kids are worth?? Your kids????
I too expected more on the Bachelorette story. I thought she would choose neither guy. I really felt that she was leaning toward Frank (the weasel) and when he packed his bags. It was kind of like she had to pick the better of the two that she did not want. I knew it would not be Chris. Her body language with him was just not there. She hardly ever kissed him and when she did, she always pulled away. But I do hope that even tho the statistics are stacked against Ali and Roberto, I hope they make it. They are an adorable couple. Hope to hear updates from time to time.
Oh and Giselle, stick to modeling. There are enough useless laws on the books, we don't need one regarding personal choices such as breast feeding.
Yes, Giselle should stop talking. Nobody wants to hear her comments on how easy childbirth was and how it should be a law that everyone breastfeed. Good for her if she had an easy time with everything but stop imposing your beliefs on other people. Last time I checked, she was not the motherhood expert.
I know! Perhaps Giselle should have married Tom Cruise.

I'm a sucker for all the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows and now i have The Bachelor Pad to look forward to !! Its possible that Ali and Roberto are just very good actors but it looked real to me. I think they are really in love and it could go all the way like Trista and Ryan. I hope so – i love a happy ending. I enjoy watching the show even if it turns out to be phony.
I truly hope they have found true Love and long life and happiness together....it gives us all such hope.... I pray they will and we will get updates from time to time and how they are doing....
