A bear and a vampire in 'Trailer Park'Warner Bros. is doing their part to make sure a new generation also grows up with “Yogi Bear.” The beloved animated mammal, originally created by Hanna-Barbera back in 1958, has received a live action, 3-D makeover, and will soon be chasing down a pic-a-nic basket on a big screen near you. Dan Aykroyd lends his voice to “Yogi” while music sensation Justin Timberlake breathes life into Yogi’s loyal sidekick, “Boo-Boo.” As for the film’s live action stars, Anna Faris, Tom Cavanagh, T.J. Miller and Nathan Corddry lead the way. The unstoppable antics of the world’s least average bear hit theaters nationwide right in time for Christmas.
If you thought the young actress Chloe Moretz raised eyebrows with her foul mouthed turn as “Hit Girl” in “Kick Ass,” wait until you see her this fall in “Let Me In.” Just in time for Halloween, Moretz stars as “Abby,” a child vampire who befriends a young boy who needs some help fending off a bully. The film is based on the 2008 Swedish film, “Let the Right One In,” and offers an alternative vampire tale to the one most commonly represented in pop culture today. Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins plays Abby’s father and Kodi Smit-McPhee stars as the boy Abby protects. “Let Me In” opens October 1st. |

I was hoping Ricky and Bubbles might do a cameo appearance.
Without a doubt, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is the most unsettling and greatest vampire film that has ever been made. And since the young boy and girl are tweens and not attractive sparkly post-teens or Southern-fried curvy psychic waitresses paired with gentlemanly vampires, it doesn't have the recognition it deserves. The remake, which is directed by Matt Reeves (who also directed the horribly underrrated CLOVERFIELD), is someone that I have a lot of faith in, and the remake trailers look really good and consistent with the tone of the original. Should be good.
Jenkins is not her father – I guess this reviewer knows nothing about the novel or original film.
